Yes. Laidlaw confirmed to me on twitter when I asked.
Damn. I was planning on making a hybrid build.

The hell is that sword? The Tuning Fork Of Dragon Poking? I hope we have access to more sensible and better looking swords.
As for me, I want a one-handed axe and a two-handed warhammer.

Sorry Bioware, I prefer that extremely underrepresented weapon class called ''blunt weapons'' so....
F: Flanged Mace.

I sincerely hope we have daggers that are longer than the ones they are showing in the picture.
I just cannot picture myself attacking a demon or a heavily armored being with such a tiny dagger.

And well, probably armor too. I really want to do what thy talked about a long time ago about customizing and crafting a whole set of weapons and armor to be prepared to fight each of the dragons. I looove the idea of having a custom suit to hunt each particular one that's tailored to their weaknesses and such.

A staff of course, especially since it's the closest thing we have to a spear.
You know it kinda makes you wonder if they could have added spears but made it a Mage exclusive weapon.

Damn. I was planning on making a hybrid build.
They can't use conventional swords, but they are confirmed to summon their own swords from the Fade and wield them. So you can still make that hybrid, it just won't use a normal sword.

I dunno. Attacking a demon with one of those would be stupid, yes, but trying to shove a longsword into a knight's armpit or around their groin armor would just be weird.

The sword reminds me of something....
Its the sword from the most recent Fire Emblem game....just in case someone hasn't pointed it out yet...
But back to the original question...I've always loved me maces and hammers, but a staff can be cool too.

Dagger for my first run as a dwarven rogue. Though I will definitely use the greatsword at some point.
Or, as I'll call it: the Bat Blade.

Bow. If only because all the bows in DA 2 were horrible looking and impractical as ****.

I dunno. Probably the either the daggers or the Greatsword for my first playthrough.
(I was also going to customize a greataxe for Iron Bull, if allowed. And also give him a crimson apron, again, if allowed.)

None of the above. I'll play a Knight Enchanter and as such I refuse to run around with a staff. Empty hands it is.
