I felt like her DLC was somewhat a waste of time because in the end she left. Oh and did anyone ever figure out why she had an American accent? I am not really complaining, but if I remember correctly she is the only elf to have the accent. Is there some meaning to that or am I just over thinking it?
Is Tallis going to return in Inquisition?

Will likely base a female Elven Rogue Inquisitor on Tallis, if she does not appear in the Vanilla game. And I do believe an American accent works well with that idea.
Oh that is just cheap. I want the real Tallis back. I liked her accent. And I am not just saying that because I am America. It did not seem very elfy, though... well when compared to all the other elfs I have met in Dragon Age.

Did you play DA:O? The Dalish and City Elves in that game had American accents...

She could have picked up her American accent from the Qunari depending on how early she was taken by them. Doesn't really matter. Or does it?

I am alright with her accent. I was just wondering why or how she got it. I am hoping to see her again in Inquisition. Her DLC should have been $4.99. 10 seemed like a lot for a party member you could not keep. I helped her solve those puzzles, too.

Oh, I had forgotten about the elves in the first Dragon Age.

Felicia Day is cool I just don't like her character, Tallis -- It's quite terrible.

Agreed that this is a lesser choice, and would much prefer Ms Day to do the actual VO and CC work herself. She is most welcome to stop by and play the game most anytime....

Felicia Day does seem like she is still in good company with the Dev's and didn't the Geek and Sundry area at Comic-Con connect to the Dragon age booth area?
So i don't know why they wouldn't invite her for at least a little cameo. But i personally don't dislike or like her character, as an assassin she is cool. but at the time i didn't like Felicia Day so my opinion of her in DA2 is biased.

Like Icy MageBane said the City elves have American accents. ![]()
Also I don't hate Felicia Day I just don't like Tallis and I hope she doesn't appear at all. If she does my inquisitor better not turn thick as a brick. ![]()

I like Felicia Day and Tallis was an alright character I guess but she also kind of annoyed me. It wasn't so much about her being her it was more that she dominated the whole dlc. What was even the point of Hawke being there he/she couldn't influence anything that happened.
So if she comes back it better not be like that again.

I only want her to return if my Inquisitor gets to murder knife her...
If not, then NOPE.

What is it people don't like about Tallis? I thought she was ok.
Basically, she showed up the protagonist and was otherwise a bit of a mary sue. And she kind of really glossed over the whole "rampant abuse of mages" think in conversation with Hawke re: the Qun.

Huh, I didn't think she was that good, she just killed a bunch of mooks. Hawke does that all the time. The bit about Mages was a bit strange though when you believe in something like the Qun you tend to focus on the good, not the bad points. Not saying it's right it's just something people do. I actually thought that was the point of her character, to show the good side of the Qun.

I'm not saying that's what I thought, but rather what people who dislike Tallis generally list.
The Qun/mage thing is painfully tone deaf. As best I can recall, she says Hawke's role wouldn't change much in the Qun. Except, y'know, for Mage Hawke that's totally untrue unless her hobby includes wearing a heavy metal collar and sewing her mouth shut, in which case, what the ****, Hawke!?

Her "sue-ness" is hardly annoying in comparison to the manner in which she brushes aside (or simply ignores) any attempt to address the Qun's more troubling aspects.
Not to mention that, in their attempt to create a more relatable and endearing Qunari, they made a character who simply cherry-picks what tenets of the Qun they actually decide to follow.

I think the overall packaging is more a function of her role. I bet the IB is similar in personality. She's basically spying/recruitment - it makes sense she wouldn't stick out like Sten. I prefer to view her white-washing as just more lying.
