I don't hate anyone for being gay, bi or straight.  I *do* hate anyone who has to make their sexuality blatantly obvious in public though.  That means the really loud obnoxious flamboyant gays who have to parade around proclaiming their love of phalluses to the world AS WELL AS straight people who say nasty perverted stuff and DO nasty perverted stuff that portrays their sexuality in public.  I wish everyone would shut up about it and keep it to themselves.

 

No, you should not be ashamed to be gay and you also shouldn't be proud to be gay either -- anymore than I should be proud to be asexual or Joe Blow should be proud to be straight.  Keep it to yourself and please don't bother me with it.

The formal study of truth is logic. And without exception all the logical systems I know of are axiomatic in nature. That is to say that you assume a certain set of base premises or rules that constitute the system and within that system what you're talking about can be true or untrue with respect to those assumptions.

This is especially true of maths, where there are several systems running alongside each other each suited to different things and using wildly varying base assumptions. The reason that we don't do maths purely with a dictionary (though I'd point out that if you want to get fast at basic arithmetic you do memorise the first part of the arithmetic tables, or come up with some clever trick like relating it to visualised geometry in your head,) is that having extremely fast low level semantic reflexes reduces the mental load for when you need to deal with higher level abstractions. In that sense, it's similar to the idea that the first thing a programmer would do if handed a reasonably powerful computer with no compiller would be to write a compiller in whatever the highest level access to the system she had access to was.

So... you say that it's right or wrong - and that there's only one right answer - but what are your assumptions, and why should someone who doesn't value those assumptions care whether it's right or wrong according to your system? What's the buy in supposed to be? It's clear in mathematics why someone might buy into learning arithmetic efficiently, and conclude that for their purposes having to constantly refer to a dictionary would be the wrong answer. It's less clear with respect to sexuality why someone would buy into the idea that hetrosexuality was the one right answer to their particular life's challenges.

No i havent. Because i think its just natural to use the mind instead of my primeaval instinct that leads to nothing. We humans have a brain for a reason... but if you love flesh in all it´s glory then hey, your thing!
