We already know spirits are the cure for Tranquility. Justice is a spirit. I'm not seeing the connection to Fade Rifts really.

You do realise that Justice is a spirit yes?

yes, but i don't see how whether or not he's a spirit or demon is relevant.

Not really. The distinction matters little to this function aside from the fact that a demon would possess them.

It has more to do with your personality and your outlook.  "Life is about the debate" confirms my suspicions about you.  A lot of people live to be right and in my line of work I see many people make it a point to be right even at the cost of their relationships with loved ones (families and friends).  I understand that line of thinking, it becomes a drive for whatever goal you set for yourself....

To avoid being off topic.  I concede that you are most likely right (I don't care about being wrong).  I rather open up the discussion of the possibility that tranquils can be cured even if it is temporary (which is most likely).  The only example I have of that happening is with Ander's tranquil friend, Karl.  How is that Karl came back for a few seconds?  I know demons do not like tranquils and a spirit was involved in this happening so is it possible for a spirit or multiple spirits to aid tranquils?

I also don't imagine all tranquils to be cured if this is the case.  Perhaps proximity to spirit and breach in the fade will allow this to happen.

theory;

If a spirit/demon some how tear into the veil and come out it leaves a residule aura that temporarly de-tranquils a magi. Bit if a spirit touches the mind directly the are cured but with severe emotional instabilty. Now this is already known to fans but if a breach could be used a temporary cure zone of sorts it plausible in theory but it opens up the possiblity of potential abominations appearing

I would even further your theory that Justice/anders, leading this cure of tranquils.  Justice if Anders is dead and well Anders if he survived.  Anders would no longer be, since Anders in the fade is Justice.  But they are one so I guess that would mean permanent blue glow.  I also imagine tranquils finding the urge to go to open tears like a moth to a flame.

Karl was not possessed.

That's because Justice had already possessed Anders. :\

most tranqs are disinclined to regain their powers maybe for study.

I also believe that if near a breach/tear justanders(merged the names for berevity) they would become lambant and do makers knows what

exactly, Anders was possessed; not Karl.. which could mean that possession isn't the cure, but actually energy from the Fade.. energy that's flooding into Thedas from the tears in the Veil to the point that its affecting the "physical" world, in essence connecting Thedas and the Fade...at least in the areas where the tears have occurred. (well that's the theory anyway, won't know till we get in the game)

True, perhaps it would have to take an effort or a movement to get them near tears and spirits near them  (I am still not 100% convinced spirits or demons are needed if a tear is near).  I do like the idea of them going "crazy" perhaps they would be the opposite of Tranquil and become overly emotional.  Which would make Karl's story that much more sadder since he was overwhelmed by his emotions when he told Anders to kill him.  But that's pure speculation.  :P

in that game demo, Redcliffe looked like the fade.  So I would say that Thedas and the Fade are connecting....big time.

pharamond the tranquil from asunder is the best example atm on what reverse tranquility does. With better research we might be able to. Midigate these issues

No one ever said a spirit had to possess you. Spirits however aren't physical beings, so when Anders starts glowing, what's seems to be fuming out is a part a of Justice. This is what Karl felt, not energy from the Fade, which any magical spell could qualify as, as well as the lyrium that Tranquil use to make enchantments, but an actual being from the Fade.

Proximity allowed him to regain his emotions.

A tranquil is ultimately cut off from the Fade, so having some aspect of the Fade nearby, be it spirits or whatnot should cure them, at least temporarily. Karl didn't keep his emotions long since Justice disappeared back into Anders..

so in theoryif a spirit/abomination radiates fade energy and the tranquil is near it they should cured as long as they are near it. Sort like being near cheryanoble yes?

Sort of. The theory is sound, but I'm not sure the risks of having a Fade Spirit near tranquil is really worth it.

We could possibly hire some Rivaini Seers and learn more about their self-allowing possessions and learn more about it, and that may be a possible solution, since we don't really hear about any abomination problems for them.

Asunder. And yup. Required a Fade Spirit, in Pharamond's case, a Pride Demon. He was possessed, but Wynne and Faith defeated the demon and Pharamond remained cured. Lambert wanted to retranquilize him. Pharamond begged for death instead.

Except in the game Bound by Flame. That game's entire premise is being possessed by a demon and the inner struggle to keep your humanity or give in to the demon's power to face a near unstoppable enemy.

I spent the month of September playing bad RPG's for no reason beyond torturing myself as a way to pass the time, and that game quite frankly, sucks.
