Hi,

 

I've done a quick search, and this probably seems like a stupid question to you, but here goes...

 

I'm not entirely sure whether to opt for equipment which increases my Magic score, or equipment which increases my Spellpower score.

 

I undersand Magic influences my Spellpower score (Spellpower score is the number of Magic attribute points you have over 10, right?) as well as the effeciveness of poultices.  And I undersand Spellpower influences the effectiveness of spells cast (damage dealt, etc?).

 

So, if I have two items, one which increases Spellpower by 2 and the other Magic by 1...I should opt for the Spellpower one if I wish to deal more damage, since the one with the Magic buff will only increase my Spellpower by 1.  Is this correct?

I think you've got it. Though I think a high magic increases potion effectiveness too, and I'm not sure how that works. Might be the spellpower boost increases potion effectiveness, might be it doesn't. But then, I'm not sure it matters given just how many things you can increase using your spellpower.
