Definitely a good thing, dearest Dave. ![]()
People don't need to say it word for word, just look at Xil's rant about Celene/Briala, the entire thing reeks of it. Especially insisting they get back together to fix the 'mistake' going against any sort of sense or decency.
I don't share that view but can you not see that Xil is upset because it is incredibly common for SS relationships (and especially lesbian relationships) to end badly. It's not fun when the limited representation of your minority group is all doom and gloom.

I can see her being upset that it's a bad relationship, sure. I can't see her demanding that they get back together to fix the 'mistake' because they're S/S. No one would expect a M/F couple to get back together in a similar situation. Demanding a S/S couple does so purely because they are S/S seems to me to actually be even worse, especially since it assumes you can somehow 'fix' or 'make up for' the fact Celene killed Birala's parents.
Definitely a good thing, dearest Dave.
Somebody's gotta lead this thing. So...tag, you're it dave. <hug>
its a good thing. Messere a very good thing now lead us to glory *charges off but runs smack dab into a tree*I can't decide if that's a good thing or not......

...And now I have the George of the Jungle theme stuck in my head pre-coffee. Thanks so much for that.

As I said I don't share that viewpoint. I think there are story reasons as to why those characters ended up conforming to that particular trope. It's unfortunate but I think it's necessary to the plot.
My point was that I don't think Xil or anyone here is accusing the devs of purposefully portraying SS relationships negatively for nefarious purposes like you claimed. I don't wanna talk for anyone else but I really don't think that is what Xil or anyone here is saying.
I find it so weird that people keep using my real name in this thread.......
Your name is Gorim?! ![]()
What do you mean what happened? Anders escaped, Karl hasn't. It seems he just didn't want to, like most of the circle mages.
That's not to mention that circle mages don't strike me as a rolemodel of fidelity to say the least, so whatever feelings they shared... well, freedom meant more to Anders (which is probably was for the better for both of them) and Anders meant less to Karl than his... I dunno, so-called safety in the circle.
Gee no need to be so confrontational
But is that confirmed/canon...? I don't remember Anders explaining it like that. All he said was "Karl was my first..."

I think that's the only conclusion we can draw. He obviously cares more about Karl than some random hook-up. He risked a lot to get him out.
from a english pov and context it implies his 1st sexual experianceGee no need to be so confrontational

Nah they could've just hooked up once or twice but remained good friends. It happens!

I just missed the boat on hook-ups. Damn my tendency not to have rauncy sex with everyone around me.

There you go, debunking the horny bisexual stereotype again. Keep this up and folks won't see us as horndogs incapable of monogamy anymore. The horror. ![]()

With a guy. No way was it his first in general.

Now let's not go too far. ![]()
Edit: But yes, seriously, people need to appreciate that I will not sex them up if they're in a room with me, as big of a loss for them that is.
But is that confirmed/canon...? I don't remember Anders explaining it like that. All he said was "Karl was my first..."
Well, he did say "no mage I know ever dared to fall in love" and things like "everyone was kissing everyone (in Fereldan circle)" so yeah, those parts are pretty much canon.
It never was explained when they ended it, but considering Anders tried to escape several times and succeded while Karl was in the circle still, and didn't seem to be bothered by it until he was transfered to Kirkwall (and only THEN he asked for help from Anders)... That's the explanation based on the known facts, closest thing to "canon" I'd say.

Idk, it sounded like it meant a lot more than just a hook up to Anders.
im guessing from the context it was his first man but anders made jokes about a female templar so tbh idk if it was his first in general or just his first male partner. With a guy. No way was it his first in general.
i would like read that... just to fully comptehend your plan(and im a bit macabre)A mixture of one, two and three.
Using the Inquisition as a basis the Free Marches like they have prior in history unite under a singular banner, not for defense but for conquest and war. Meanwhile the Inquisition instigates a wide spread offensive operation in Nevarra, Fereldan and Rivain engaging acts of military sabotage and wide spread carnage, while simultaneously preparing the Marchers for their coastal landing in Fereldan.
The conflict ultimately is going to be about racking up as large a body count as possible all across Southern and Northern Thedas.
Picture it as an attempt to collapse the entire known world into a period of anarchy.
Oh and don't think the Qunari will be left out of the fun, No sir.
I'm actually writing a storyboard for a fanfic based around the concept.

If all you're after is bloodshed why not just push the templars and mages into escalating combat, until the mages start creating doomsday spells and the templars wipe out any non-templars rather than risk mages escape. Then as the effects of red lyrium effect the order, they go mad, slaughtering one another, and mages fall to demons who use these doomsday spells to sunder the veil. It seems a lot less work than having to tramp all over Thedas to fuel a war, when you have one going on right in front of you.

Oh that's no fun not to mention that conflict is winding down the Templar Order and Magi rebels are reportedly heavily depleted soon after the game starts.
The Inquisitor literally ends the war in a vaunted side arc.
So unfortunately no, it would be a series of skirmishes spread across the continent, no wide spread war, no international blood bath.
Not to mention it isn't the carnage that interests the Inquisition as much as it is the reason FOR the carnage.
