in the twitch stream at the point where there was switched from character creation to gameplay you said that there was only a single dwarven city left but if i remember correctly in origins there has been said that another dwarven city is alive as well.

did that change or was that a simple mistake?

I think it's just a mistake, Orzammar isn't alone Kal-Sharok is also around although they apparently are living a different kind of life compared to Orzammar.

I think Kal-Sharok isn't considered a city. or at least not in Orzammar.

They said Orzammar was the last city of the once great dwarven kingdom. Karl Sharock is independent and no longer part of the kingdom.

It's most definitely a city on the level of Orzammar. A thousand years prior, it was the capital of the dwarven empire. It may be weaker now, but it is called a "great thaig".

Likely, it was a simple mistake, especially since Kal-Sharok hasn't had much influence in the games themselves.

Indeed Orzammar and Karl Sharock aren't on good terms, Karl Sharock is actually pretty angry with Orzammar with being left behind and all that.

No Kal-Sharok in Inquisition.

What a wasted opportunity... no Orzammar and no Kal-Sharok...  I need my dwarven culture fix.  :/

Has it been confirmed that there will be no Orzammar in DAI?

Yeah that's been confirmed that we won't be going there.

we are going to at least one thaig with some dwarfs in it, but it's neither Orzammar or Karl-Sharock.

No it's not the demo, in one the trailers you see some sort underground place with dwarfs and such. It looked like a thaig to me.

Interesting... I hope you are right about that.  Orzammar was one of my favorite locations in DA:O.

We'll see, we always visited at least one thaig in every DA game so far, so it would be weird if DA:I didn't have at least one thaig for us to visit.

Are you counting the Primeval Thaig?  There weren't any dwarves there... Impressive as it may be, I don't care about the architecture, I care about the NPCs.

It's a thaig long forgotten, which explains why there isn't any dwarfs in it and there wasn't that many dwarfs in DA2 to talk too so yeah..

DA:I there seem to be more dwarfs to talk too.

Well, the Carta certainly has its own culture. It is the dwarven mafia, after all. :P

Well yeah, technically it's a thaig, but that's kind of beside the point.  I am interested in talking to dwarves and getting involved in things like the caste system again... I mean, if all I cared about was the environment...

Well, there is that... frankly, I'd prefer the Dwarven Merchants' Guild since the Carta has been extremely hostile for two games now... although that's probably not going to be the case for Cadash Inquisitors.  Not initially, at least...

Merchants' Guild, Carta... two sides of the same coin, my friend. Dirty, dirty coin.

Carta being hostile to the PC doesn't bother me overmuch, but that could be because DC was my favorite origin. I have sympathy for some of those squat little douches even as they try to shank me unmercifully.

rofl... I like the way you think.  Well, they do tend to make the game more exciting, I'll grant them that.  xD

Well the thaig did give us something to speculate on when it comes to the dwarfs because it was so different then the others.

Since we can talk to red templars, I'm sure we will talk to some carta dwarfs and maybe other dwarfs from Orzammar or other places.

I guess... that's not really what I'm talking about, but I'm sure you realize that.  At least, I hope so.
