Nugs, along with the majority of creatures, have received an updated appearance in Dragon Age Inquisition and with Leliana's appearance in the trailers; Is it possible Leliana would still have the cute nug that The Warden gifted her, or would a nug have passed into the caring arms of the Maker by the time inqusition rolled around?

Surely the spirits at the Urn of the Sacred Ashes thought prolonging Schmooples' life is a priority.

In that special screenshot the devs had sent to a few youtubers, it showed Schmooples in the shot with all of the companions and advisors. Unless they just decided to show a nug for giggles.

I'm pretty sure schmooples will return. I once saw an youtube user called Abilitydrain recieve an portrait of the Inquisition team, and I remember I saw schmooples under the war table in that picture.

Schmooples ... of course he'll be in the game. He was, after all, the mastermind behind all events in the recent history of Thedas. I do not trust him the slightest, smooth little nug trying to look all cute and innocent, yeah, we know your kind, just let your guard down and BAM!

 

Schmooples and his nugs are at your throat, gnawing and chewing and ripping your flesh and soul apart...just like he did when he was still known as Schmooples the Eternally Dark, and seduced the righteous Tevinter Mages into blackening the Golden City ... oh you devillish creature of pure evil..

 

As Andraste said in her (now sadly lost) verses: "Do no trust the cutesy nug with his adorable little snout, for it is bred of darkness and betrayal!"

 

So oh yeah, I am looking forward to meet Schmooples again, and give him what he deserves, eternal pain and damnation...and take good lesson of teh following, it may save your sorry behind if ever confronted with the wrath of Schmooples the Destroyer!

Lets think logically for a second. What is the life expectancy of a Nug?  In the wild my guess its very short. And while as a pet it may live longer...my guess is that 10 years is well past its life expectancy.

No worries, I recall David Gaider stating that mabari dogs live as long as the plot demands it, and clearly the plot of Inquisition demands Schmooples to be resolved properly
