I hope it not stuff for MP. I don't play MP and don't want any MP packs. That doesn't mean I will cancel my DE pre-order but it would suck if I paid for and received something that I will never use. To me, and this is just my opinion, that all extra paid for items through pre-order in a basically a single player game should be just for the single player campaign.

I was hoping for another companion, but I think they already said they aren't going to DLC companions any more due to the backlash that generated last time. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Think it would more likely be weapon skin packs, a few non-p2w items for MP and some furniture items, stuff like that.

You're correct about the companion.

In my opinion, ANY Bioware game is worth the price - even if it was $100 per game.
The way I see it, I'm paying like a dollar per hour of content... the fact that the game is able to entertain me for 50+ hours is a pretty damn good investment. Certainly better than paying $10 to go so a 2 hour movie! And the re-playability factor makes Bioware games a great investment. But that's just my 2 cents!
Exactly my logic when buying game.

I'm curious too, what the extra bonus content will be and if it will be released. Part of the reason why I ordered the digital deluxe edition is because of it.

I know I want game content. Just sayin.

It is almost certainly something to do with MP. I'm pretty sure if it were more SP content, it would have been trumpeted far and wide by now.
Also, I believe marketing is in charge of all that stuff, not the game devs.

I've been curious ever since they announced the deluxe version. I won't be surprised if when we get the game it says "Bonus digital content soon to come!" and it's actually the first DLC for free we just have to wait a few months.

I'm also wondering if the unannounced content changes based on the console you purchase it for.

I too would like to know what this unspecified content is, BioWare.

I didn't even know there was bonus digital content when I pre-ordered the deluxe edition. In fact, I just found out there was bonus digital content today. So I guess it doesn't matter to me what it is, though I wouldn't mind knowing...

If they're taking this long to announce it better be awesome, drawing the suspense out for a couple of MP textures/skins or whatever would be a big let down ![]()

Maybe they're still deciding. Still 30 days to go.
Maybe giving you a choice of various bonus items to download?
Outfits would be my choice
Battle and casual.
How can you be an effective inquisitor if you don't feel and look your very best?
PS. Preordered deluxe in June regardless. At worst, it's a $10 tip in the Bioware Cookie Jar for making this epic game.

I don't agree with this at all. But we all value money differently I guess.
But I look at it like this, would ME3, DA2 or Jade Empire have been $100 to me at the time they were released? Heck no.

I've played lots of different games. I'm also among those that value Bioware games at $100 (DAO even more because of big mods available)..
Even DA2 and ME3, despite their issues. I will admit though - modding ability was easily worth $20-$40 of that $100 - depending on the game and its extent of modability.
Added a custom hairstyle and outfits in ME3 and happiness went up big time. Was really MY CHARACTER.
Hopefully the game customization will let me get "the look" I'm looking for. Though without companion customization, won't get all the way there.
I'd mod Sera's appearance first thing (just my taste). Her voice is great.
(Jade Empire - never played it.)

The marketing team probably told them not too. They are probably, stalling as long as possible: because there is still the possibility they could make sales from people who are not interested in the announced dlc, or MP. By keeping it a mystery from those people, they still might buy the special edition 'just in case' they miss something awesome. But if they revealed that it was an MP pack early, than they would lose those sales.
I can't see any other reason that they haven't revealed the info yet.
They are failing at that. I will be getting the Standard edition if they don't announce what it is. If it isn't anything special I still go Standard. If they don't announce standard yet again.
There is zero value in that extra $10, they offer. 20% more cost for what must be equivalent to 0.000001% of already existing in game items.
I ALWAYS look at things as a cost/value proposal. For $10 more it better be like the Shale DLC in DAO. THAT would make it worth it. Anything less they can keep it, I am not that gullible to be nickel and dimed.
It also shows how much less we get now for the same extra cost more or less compared to 2009.
Hell I probably will use VERY little mounts in the game because when you use a mount your party disappears and obviously no banter when that happens. I rather run with my party instead and only use for very long stretches or I am going back and forth for some reason.
What do I care about a silly throne and some mounts, useless fluff pieces of ZERO value and they want $10 for that? Give me a break....

Oh you mean that Day 1 DLC makes paying customers feel like they were cheated? Who'd have thunk?

I have to admit that I would be willing to pay a lot more than retail for a Bioware RPG if that's what it took, and honestly I am a little disappointed by the lack of little collectible pieces of bonus content this time around (like all the Facebook games and T-Shirts that got you random little trinkets in previous titles, I love that sort of stuff).
I understand where a lot of the discomfort around 'Day 1 DLC' comes from - ultimately purchasing a videogame is purchasing some vague and largely unquantified 'amount of content', and then being asked to pay more for "this other amount of content" puts suspicion onto the content provider. Still, as someone who wants more content, and has more money to pay for it (and furthermore, only wants a lot of types of content 'Day 1' given that myself and everyone who plays on my console do not replay games), I would very much appreciate a way to give more money to Bioware Day 1 as a way of providing extra funding in exchange for some small bit more content.
If Bioware can suggest a way to promise additional day 1 content for people (exclusive or non-exclusive, I don't care) in exchange for more money, they can expect me to throw in an extra 200 bucks or so for the next DA Title, but I don't know how to structure that kind of system of funding additional Day 1 content where people wouldn't complain.
Sometimes I feel like every title should have a 'normally' funded section and then a kickstarter-based section of additional content, were that feasible.

I knew that smart alec's might take exception to my own post, so I limited any potentially caustic remarks to "chill out" and "whining," but the fact is that any deluxe collectors edtion is going to be expensive when compared to the regular game.
In their solicitation Bioware did list that in addition to the base game, the following content would be available with their deluxe edition: Mounts (specifically Red Hart Halla, Bog Unicorn) plus an Armored Mount with its own set of Inquisition armor. Various Item packs. Flames of the Inquisition armory. Flames of the Inquisition Weapons Arsenal DLC, including: A staff for mages. Daggers and a bow for rogues A shield, a greatsword and a war hammer for warriors. Flames of the Inquisition Armor - an armor set for the Inquisitor. The Skyhold Throne. And a Digital soundtrack.
If that content was not enought to convince someone to purchase the item, they threw in a notation that additional bonus digital content would later be announced. I would argue that "folks who had a right to know exactly what's included in the edition that they were paying extra for" had been given the information some time ago, minus a somewhat minor (and yet nitpicking detail) over what actual - BONUS - digitial content that ultimately proved to be.
This!
I mean i preordered the Digital Deluxe just for the Soundtrack, the mounts and the cool gear. I didnt even know there was going to be extra stuff added to that, so to me thats just extra goodies. I would like to know what they are ofc, but i cant certainly "demand" they tell me what i paid for because i paid for the mounts, the gear, the weapons, the throne and the Soundtrack. That was the deal. Anything extra? Thank you very much Bioware, ill wait patiently to know what it is, but im not fussed if i only find out on the day of release, i already know what im getting that i paid for...

Speaking of the soundtrack how do I access this, I bought the game yesterday digitially for Xbox One and i've no idea how to actually get the soundtrack.......thinking about it I believe I got the soundtrack for DA2 through a PC download after registering the game.
