Playing the game on windows 7 64, OC and all expansions patched to final release, modded with K's pack, reeron, wildmage, magetome, tomeofbattle and a merger-hak for them. Also added some textures, some custom portraits and Tchos UI-mod. Edit: Tchos has issues with the merger-hak, but they can be easily resolved by renaming the override-folder.

 

OC, Act 3, Crossroads Keep outskirts: Need to burn some bridges.

At the end of the map I meet Garius, and a shadow priest. Garius rants, mass-enlarge the undead and leaves. Father pops out of the air on a cliffside with two elves and shoot the priest and his two closest undead with blast globes. They die. The rest of the undead are non-hostile, but obviously needs to die for the next cutscene to fire. What to do?

 

I've tried restarting the map ca 10 times. Used different npcs and units. picked different dialogue options. tried not resting, not leveling, not buffing, not doing side-missions (the vampire coffins), not skipping dialogue, skipping dialogue as fast as possible, starting the Garius encounter in follow mode, starting in attack nearest mode, drinking coffie and resisting the urge to uninstall the game. Please help.

 

Suggestions on how to kill this quest and get on with life would be appriciated.

 

I'd rather not muck around with the mods, as that takes forever. I have a last-dich solution which is to watch a let's-play on youtube and recreate my character in Mask of the Betrayer.

I'm guessing that by "Techo" you mean Tchos.  This won't help with the quest, but I'd like to know what issues my UI mod has with the merger you mention, so that I can address it, if possible.

Thanks for that very fine mod!

 

I'm having issues with this mod and the "mass merger" mod found here:

1. The portraits in the upper right corner of the main game-display remain their original size. I solved this by giving your mod a folder name with a letter that loads after the mass merger mod ("zzTecho HD UI").

 

2. The dialogue display remains in it's original shape and form. Not resolved by the aforementioned trixyness.

 

I suspect there are other issues. I had limited expirience with this mod before I installed the mass merger. I'm happy just with the enlarged portraits, however.

you can try fixing the non-hostile undead with this console command:


pause
right click an undead to target

`
debugmode 1
dm_setfaction hostile
debugmode 0
`

rinse & repeat. There might be other issues tho.
