ok... the movie Prometheus .... which I never wrote anything about, I just have to say this...

 

the "scientists" were the BIGGEST bunch of retards I have ever seen.... like WOW ..... the biggest most incompetent group of people to ever travel in space, JUST WOWWWWWWWWWWWW...

 

ohhhhh I hear a weird noise outside the space ship on an ALIEN planet that has weird XENOmorphs running around  lets CRACK this sucker open and check it out : / YEPIIIIIIIIIII

 

ohhhhhhh an alien life-from that might explode acid farts in my face.... im gonna go ahead and pet it LALALALALAL Im gonna name you fluffy .....

 

ohhhhhh so many buttons on an alien ship that might activate a security system that might melt everyone alive.... F*&^^ it I'm gonna press all of them.... OPS turns out the alien ship was going to wipe out all life on earth from orbit ... MY BAD ......

I mean the movie would have been AMAZING if it was not for the HORNY, 3rd grade level intellect, incompetent "CREW" of a SPACE SHIP that cost like a TRILLION DOLLARS

This, and what Caladin said. I know there are a lot of WTF moments, plot holes, and face palm-worthy events in the movie, but for some reason I get the urge to watch it again every couple months.

Xenomorphs don't even show up until the end of the movie and even so, The Deacon barely resembles any of the Xenos from later Alien films. What are you talking about? You know AVP isn't canon anymore right? Xeno's haven't showed up in human history until this film.

Tbf, the original script was alot better, less confusing, and was built more like a proper Alien prequel. Along with alot of deleted scenes that explained most of the plot holes. Doesn't excuse the end product, but I don't mind Prometheus. I've seen worse.

The scientists in AvP were stupid; as per the requirements of all monster mash up movies; but even they were smarter than the 'experts' in Prometheus.

 

Truth be told, I much rather prefer that AvP remain cannon than for Prometheus to stand as a prequel to the Alien franchise. The main problem that I had with this movie over AvP is that Prometheus was billed as a true homage to the Alien films; audiences expected something that would measure up to the masterpiece that was Alien. 

 

AvP at least delivered on what it promised: Aliens and Predators kicking the crap out of each other.

I liked the movie, sure some of that was pretty terrible. The film is pretty to look at, it was quite an experience in theater. If not for the pacing & some poorly written characters it would have probably been better received. I think my main frustration has come with the sequel. It used to be both movies were set out, maybe the script wasn't done, but the story was solid. Some of the things not really explained well in the first were supposed to be carried over into the second. And scenes for the second were supposed to have been filmed while they made the first.... But now they haven't started filming at all, & Scott talks about there being something like fifteen scripts, & now he doesn't want any alien life at all... I guess that's what happens when people thoroughly trash your film's writer & chase him off but still, I thought the sequel was a lot better off than what seems to be the word now.
