wow WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
that scene was CUT .. they thought that was irrelevant to the viewers?
Remember, studios are morons and they believe that audiences are morons as well.
These are also are the people who felt that films like "I Am Legend" should end with Will Smith suicide bombing the creatures, because apparently that was "less depressing" than the original ending where he made peace with them, after he realised that they were actually sentient and self-aware and by capturing, experimenting and killing the creatures, he was actually the monster who haunts their nightmares... (hence the freaking title).
Same as with Prometheus. Why bring Weyland along and have him meet with the Engineer to give us come clue and context for the most mysterious race in the film, who's motivations are the source of most of the questions within the movies... when we can just edit that boring conversation out and have it so that Weyland comes into the movie at the eleventh hour, does nothing, then dies, while the Engineer goes all "HULK SMASH!" on everything?
It's kind of sad how they really don't have any faith in their audience's intelligence. Shakespeare's plays gave his audiences in the 16th century far more credit to follow the complexity and nuances of his work, and most of his audience probably weren't even literate?!
