I want to mess around with the tool set so even if I had a 360 or a PS3 there's a good chance I'd still get the PC version, and I'm lucky to have a fairly recent rig, which could use one more stick of ram.... I should get on that. :P

Anyone tell me how they think it will run on these specs? Run character creator just fine =D

Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.lh_sp2rtm.090410-1830)
Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 10
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
Display Memory: 1267 MB

Unfortunately 8500GT actually performs like a 7000s series in speed with just implementation to DX10 functions.  So basically you will meet the minimum requirement setting in videocard given by Bioware... It will be likely to have to run the graphic details on minimum to sustain a enjoyable speed.

I can run the minimum specs on my computer but I think the game will look better on my Xbox because I can't run the game at top performance on my computer.

I only have a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS and 2gb of ram in my pc, so it's either high settings or nothing. I went for the Xbox CE version for launch i'll get the pc version later.

Although I will be getting the PC version, this is largely because I own neither a PS3 nor an X-box 360. I do own a Wii, but it's more of a dust-collector along with my TV, while I usually hang all over my computer.

And I have no doubts that I can run DA:O on high settings. It was *made* for that.

Get a 9800 for $100, and overclock your CPU to at least 2.6. You should be able to do that on stock cooling.

I'm never nit picked about graphics, as long as the game plays good and the graphics aren't from Pool Of Radiance. I'm more worried about how the game actually plays on Xbox with 3 other controllable party members.

I don't think it really matters with the wat Bioware makes games for all systems you won't see much difference between them.

I pre-ordered both...cause sometimes I like just sitting on my couch and playing games on my hd tv rather than on my PC

I don't think this is a fair comparison for consoles. Just because PC does have a better edge in the graphics department dosent mean the console graphics will provide an inferior experience. Console graphics are still great and FPS is usually locked down to provide a smoother experience.

Especially if you consider that the PC only has better graphics if your hardware is good enough.
Which mine is not... unfortunately (I would prefer playing it on the PC).

The PC version is superior in every way. Graphics, control, camera, mods etc.

Having played both I wouldn't suggest anyone play this fantastic game on a console unless it is your only option.
