Back in May 2013, I did an ME3 default playthrough not talking with anyone to see what happens in the game. I also created  a thread

 

I just recently finished a playthrough not talking with anyone with a save import and playing the Citadel dlc

 

Crewmembers

Cortez - he dies in London if you don't talk to him on the Citadel. He will not have a meetup in the Citadel dlc

Traynor - Shepard won't learn that Traynor was on Horizon when the collectors attacked. You won't know about Grissom Academy leading to the deaths of the students, and if Jack is alive in ME3, she will be killed on Chronos. No mission about rescuing the ex-Cerberus scientists, and if Jacob is alive in ME3, his name will be on the wall after finishing Chronos.
 

It will be edi that tells Shepard about Kai Leng going to Sanctuary and not Samantha. She still gets credit for tracking Kai Leng. When you first see her in the Citadel dlc with her toothbrush, Shepard will ask about it. Here's a video. Thanks to cap and gown. She will have no meetups in the Citadel dlc

 

During her goodbye scene she has this to say  "Its all right Commander. Its a little late to request a transfer now

 

Adams - he won't inform you about needing a GX12 Thermal Pipe

Dr.Chadwas - she will not tell you about needing the medical supplies from Tactus. Shepard also won't be able to have a drink with Chakwas

 

Ken and Gabby - they will not get together 

Joker - his dialogue is the same. He will not have a meetup in the Citadel dlc

 

Kelly - If you don't talk with her, she will die during the coup
 

 

Squadmates

Garrus - you don't shoot the bottles with him. The goodbye scene is the same and no meetup in the Citadel dlc

James - he won't come up to the cabin to discuss a mission involving the Collectors.The goodbye scene is the same, and he won't have a meetup in the Citadel dlc

Javik - his goodbye is the same as if he never touches the memory shard. No meetup for him in the Citadel dlc

T'Soni - she won't come up to the cabin and show you the time capsule. She won't meet her father. No meet up in the Citadel dlc. In her goodbye scene she will not offer her gift

Tali and edi - their goodbye scenes are the same and no meetups in the Citadel dlc

Ashley - she can be shot during the coup and if you don't shoot her, she will not come back on the Normandy. In this playthrough, I brought her back on the ship. Back on the ship I never talked to her. Her goodbye scene is still the same. No meetup in the Citadel dlc
I imagine it would be the same if Kaidan is in your playthrough

Anderson - he will say "I was born in London" only once

 

Grunt, Zaeed and Kasumi - by doing there related mission, they will have a meetup.

 

Miranda - she will die on Horizon

 

Samara, Jack and Jacob - if Shepard doesn't talk to them on the Citadel after doing the mission involving them, they will have no meetup in the Citadel dlc

 

Thane - if you don't see him in the hospital after the coup, there is no message to have his son and others to have a memorial for Thane

If you don't do Grissom and Jack  survived the suicide mission, there is an audio log on Chronos of her with a Cerberus operative talking to her and harming her and when you see the reaper, the first phantom that you face will be Jack

I don't see how Shepard being an introvert means the crew doesn't feel compelled to do their jobs; such as Adams needing a thermal pipe.

 

It would be pretty funny to hear the crew's gossip.

Liara, Samantha, James, Steve, Joker and edi will always show up at the party. The rest has to be invited by the player

That whole bit about Steve dying was something I came across in my first two playthroughs, because I barely talked to him on the Normandy and didn't know you could talk to him on the Citadel. So yeah, he died on accident my first two playthroughs, and on my last, with my Renegade FemShep, I'd actually forgotten about him again, so he died again. But the way that turned out he'd probably have died anyway.

I don't think I've ever done a non-talking run but I have cut down on it quite a lot.

For me the crew is too spread out in (ME2 and) ME3. After a while I begin to find it tedious to run around and chat to people.

This is why, for two playthroughs, I didn't know that Steve didn't have to die in Priority: Earth. I just never bothered going to the shuttle bay to talk to him and James. You already spend so much time in the War Room and then just getting out of there to a different part of the ship is awkward, because that barrier keeps you from running through. Making sure my fish were fed got to be far more important than caring how Steve was holding up.

It would be difficult for me to do a no-talk playthrough, which leads to the other problem I run into: being ninja-manced because I talked too much.

I've played the Citadel dlc with only Liara, Samantha, Joker, edi, James and Steve

here's what the group photo would be like. The photo can also happen if Shepard doesn't invite anyone even if everyone that can be alive is alive.

@ themikefest, i know you have many playtroughs of masseffect , especially the one shown in this topic caught my eye. It made me remember a certain playtrough i had with an unexpected death of a beloved teammate. My question for you is this ; i know you are not a fan of Liara T'soni but have you ever expierenced her death in mass effect 3 .

Yes.

 

She has died on the beam run 3 times. The only characters that I've taken on the beam run with my ems that low is James, Ashley, Liara and edi. I only had edi on the run that one time with low ems. When I do have my ems that low, its mostly Ashley and James that are killed.

 

The other times I had her dead is if my ems is below 1750. The door to the Normandy does not open suggesting all onboard are dead. This will happen only if destroy is the only ending available

Ok. That is even more depressing than what i wanted to share. I only had her killed once and Garrus died too at the beamrun. I really thought i was the only one ever seeiing this happening ,because you would expect a big thread about it amongst Liarahaters. Anyway thanks for the response.
