I'm actually somewhat surprised to see you post in the ME boards again Street. IIRC, you were rather jaded about the whole trilogy before these new boards came up.

Not that I'm complaining of course... :P

Jaded for awhile, but got bored of complaining.. got it out my system and all that. Heh. When all is said and done, I just wish they had tapped into more of the side stories and characters. I feel like there was some missed potential. I'm still open to new Mass Effect games, but it's potential will have to be a fresh start for me. New characters, new stories, etc.. I just wish I got more out of the old stories and characters than I did.

Pretty much. I think the Reaper plot is bad for the whole idea of having an interesting world. Two conflicting ideas going on here. Either build an interesting world or have a cataclysmic plot. But don't do both! These seem to work better on their own. Not together.

When we see bleak universes like Mad Max, Terminator, or Aliens, we don't need to care about the world so much. They're not places to really get to know or thrive in. You just pass through. They're just environments to serve the plot. It's different when you create characters and worlds to fall in love with ---  only to destroy it in the end.

It never really bothered me because I don't think of it as Shepard being upset over Thessia and the Asari. I always interpreted it as Shepard just being generally frustrated at failing at a crucial step and losing the component to Cerberus.

Bingo.

Back on topic, it bothered me for a second, but not the Thessia whining per se. It's the whole "frustrated at Kai Leng" thing that annoyed me. I felt manipulated by the writers more than anything. They tried to manufacture emotions in me instead of letting it happen naturally. You get railroaded in that boss fight. It's not anybody's fault - just how the game is designed. And yet you're supposed to sit through that and feel bad anyways. lol

In the end, it's just kind of sloppy and comical to me.

I would just have Kai Leng tell the gunship to fire at the supports instead of fighting Shepard.

AND CRABS. LOTS AND LOTS OF CRABS.

...it was the first thing that came to mind.

YOUR TOAST HAS BEEN BURNT, AND NO AMOUNT OF SCRAPING WILL REMOVE THE BLACK PARTS.

Never scrape burnt toast. Just slap some tomato sauce on it and that's brekky right there.

There's the Klixen as well.

The crab people evolved?

They're called crustaceans I believe.

They used to live in caves.
