The Qun is not an atheistic belief structure.

But the qunari don't believe in any kind of divinity or supernatural higher power so wouldn't that by definition make them atheistic? The qun is more a philosophy revolving around fitting in one's natural place.

i dont understand why people want to play a qunari but complain about the qunari.... looking like a qunari. not feminine enough, not pretty enough, not conventionally attractive enough. They have never been portrayed or described as dainty and elegent creatures. its like y'all want wow style dreainei or an elf or human with horns. If you want to play conventionally attractive/elegant etc etc chars then why not just play an elf or a human?

I don't want my male Qunari to be cute exactly. But I do want a handsome one. The CC does look like I should be able to cobble something together though, I was worried for a while.

You guys forgot to mention the bun hairdo. So, you get cornrows, bald, buzz/mohawk cuts and a bun. I'm sure once the modders figure out how to break into the Frost engine to mod the game, there will be more - heck, I might even think to go as far as the devs maybe releasing more options later down the road if we ask for it enough? The possibilities are endless.

So far I've seen the official art and the Bioware Comic (with Alistair) showing the Qunari with long hair. Kinda disapointing but at the same time, meh, I don't really care. Heck, even the Race Tarot Cards has long hair.  But since they weren't even a pickable/playable race up to a year ago, I'm not really surprised the hair option is minimal.

The Qunari believe in supernatural higher powers. They believe the Fade is the realm of the Dead, for instance. The also believe in spirits.

The don't have an all powerful Creator deity, but neither do many many Shamanistic faiths.

I'm confused on why blond hair and blue eyes means anime... but to answer the OP, yes you will be able to have blond hair and blue eyes for your qunari, but sadly no body sliders.

I think Super Saiyan?

That's really glowing yellow hair... but yeah blue eyes. That's more of a DBZ thing then an anime thing though. :P

If Blond/Blue eyes is anime, we should go inform Norway they're all a figment of japan's imagination. Holy crap that means IM an anime character... bummer, someone failed to give me crazy magic powers and a bizar assortment of crazed women while I pretend to act like a 3 year old wildly confused as to all their advancements.

Oh well...

Qunari women have been always portrayed as pretty though.

She's pretty, but her physique is Statuesque.

Merril likes big dudes, The male Hawke is pretty ripped too. People can think Not-Bishie men are attractive ( I think, they mostly live not on the internet).

I think the Qunari are attractive. Just not feminine.

I don't think those count as supernatural. Believing in "spirits" in DA is like believing in cats IRL. They exist. It's not really something that up for debate.

The point is that the Qun fails to conform to any definition of Atheism short of the Abitrary modern concept of "doesn't believe in a Christian God analog"

The Qunari believe in an animistic world of deliberate design. it's why they tolerate Rivaini spirit veneration in Qunari controlled lands. If that makes them atheists it makes followers of Shinto atheists. Or most African traditional customs. One doesn't have to revere one god, or even believe in the concept of discrete deities, to not be an atheist.

There are ugly elves, dwarves and humans so conversely there should also be attractive Qunari. No one (to my knowledge) is complaining about the Qunari looking "too Qunari" and it's up to every gamer as to how their ideal Qunari will look, and if it happens to *gasp* be unconventional then so be it, I don't recall anyone from Bioware stating that the Hero of Ferelden/Warden-Commander HAD to look a certain way so the same would apply to the Adaar Inquisitor I assume. Why not allow others to portray their Qunari as they please and leave it at that?

So you've never seen a person of Dutch/German/Swedish/English descent? Meaning no way in real life can people have blonde hair or blue eyes, but blue hair and purple eyes are totally normal..right, okay gotcha.

There's absolutely no indication that the Qunari believe that the world was deliberately designed. There's also no indication that their philosophy has any animistic elements.

It depends on what you mean by cute. If you think of "cute" as giant, ripped bodybuilders with bald heads or bald heads dipped in textureless mud then yes we can make cute male Qunari

bit of a necro-bump I know but I did not want to rewrite a new thread simply to show off my successful "cute Qunari Inquisitor", though he may actually be more sexy than cute in my opinion.

No offence, but that is neither cute nor sexy. The qunari horn designs (in particular, the base of the horns) are really really ugly, as they don't really mesh with the horns. So there's really no way to make an attractive looking qunari. The horn base you chose is probably the worst of all the options available. I have a question: is the stuff on your qunari's face from vitaar, or is it a tattoo? Because that is the worst part of his design, at least to me.

Maybe a better angle would help him appear sexy? If you do post a picture with a better angle, I'd say the image quality is not crucial. Better as in, you can see more of the contours and shape of the face.

It's really hard to make a male qunari look cute anyway, unless you can give him a more rounded face, with big eyes. To make a horn design look cute, you'd probably need to make them quite flat, with near blunt points, but that would probably make more sense on a qunari child.

Having said that, all that matters is you like it, or at least, can stand to look at it, since you're the one who has to see it.

I really hope BioWare looks at improving the qunari designs in the character creator for future games. Many things would help, like allowing for the players to have no horns at all, instead of the stump option they gave, and making the hair and horns separate from each other. An important thing would be to make the head and horns transition better - more like how they appear in DA2. So it's not really your fault if he doesn't look cute/sexy.

You have a special snowflake opinion along with a college dissertation-sized critique to go with it and that's wonderful and all but you know what they say about opinions.... Anyway I didn't create him to appease anyone's aesthetic desires but my own, so it matters very little to me if you think he is attractive or not - he looks good to me and I consider it a personal success on my part so really that's all that matters so "no offense" but I don't care.

PS I would have received your response better if it had been along the lines of; "Meh not visually appealing to me but good for you" instead of going on and on and on in an attempt to try and lecture me on how my personal Qunari design is all wrong and how you would have preferred him to look.
