If you see extremely good graphics in this video, you have pretty low standards.

I can hardly call it an eye candy. As it was already mentioned even Witcher 2 looks better. I want less flashy combat with more realistic animations, so you could actually see what's happening on the battlefield. It seems it's too much to ask from modern RPGs.

So the people actually playing the game and saying it is beautiful do not know what they're talking about, but you, who has only watched it on youtube, have a better idea of the quality of the graphics? Sorry, but I am not buying. Also, the idea of "realistic animations" goes out the window when mages are flinging fireballs around. Perhaps LARP'ing would be a better fit for your playstyle.

Your point is? If you can't see that ripping most combat animations from DA 2 is straight up laziness then I feel sorry for you. Can't see why you even bothered replying with such a pointless comment, the fact that you are wrong in your statement makes it even funnier.

No, see, you argued that the game was lazy, not the "ripping of animations". Also, reusing assets from previous games is not lazy. It gives the developers time to focus on other things rather than making new animations. Besides, as far as I can tell only the mage auto-attack animations have been ripped from DA2, the rest of the animations are reworked.

It is lazy and if you don't see that then you are in complete denial, and would probably defend bioware no matter what they did. Brand Loyalty is completely pointless and dumb.

My main issue with those "max settings" is youtube compressing. Dudes, don't be lazy and upload a raw uncompressed video to gamersyde or somwhere else, where i can download it directly. I wanna see stuf in true 1080p and 60 fps.

So your argument is basically that every game ever should be completely rebuilt every time a sequel is made? No asset reuse ever? Guess every sequel ever is lazy then, especially Assassins Creed since they basically reuse all the animations in their games. And no, I wouldn't. I dislike what they did with the ending to Mass Effect 3. I find their choice of removing spendable attribute points in Inquisition questionable. I hated the combat mechanics of Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age Origins. I just don't find the idea of asset reuse for things like combat animations (which are not even a main selling point for this game) indicating a lazy development to be laughable.

Honey, I'm not going to stop you from believing everything what people say, I'm far from that. But I believe when I see it, and it's called giving an opinion. Opinion. Hope that helps. You throwing recycled cliche about "mages are flinging fireballs" doesn't work, I wrote about "less flashy combat with more realistic animations, so you could actually see what's happening on the battlefield.", read it again, if you if you have a vproblem with reading comprehension. Any good fantasy/sci-fi needs to have internal consistency and believability, Cassandra breaking castle doors just ruins that being a warrior.

You really need to make less assumptions and more reading of my sentences.

Ugh.... *Facepalm* that comment proved that you have no good counter-argument at all, and thus you are putting words in my mouth. Combat is probably the biggest part of this game, and arguably 90% of combat is animations, so yes ripping almost every combat animation from the previous game is pure laziness. Unlike what some people here like to belive, romance is not a big selling factor for this game, mindboggling how they apparently put so much work into those animations instead of putting work into the combat. As it stands now combat looks terrible and lazily developed.

Combat being a large part of the game does not mean it is the main selling point. Neither are romances. The story and the characters are the main selling points for most RPGs, this one included. Also, we do not know how much time they spent on the animations for romance. What we can say however, is that the only animations that look the same as in DA2 are the mages autoattack animations. Combat looking terrible (in your opinion, which you have the right to) does not mean that the animations were lazily made. It also doesn't mean combat was developed lazily, as they have pretty much remade the combat engine from scratch, which is kind of the opposite.
