Normally, I would do the same, for Fennecs, rams and the like as well. BUT WHAT IF THAT'S THE ONLY WAY TO GET THEIR CODEX ENTRIES?!?

If modding is possible for DAI, I forsee a future mod that makes wildlife invulnerable. ![]()

If an enemy can use a sword one-handed, I'm sure that will be an option for the Inquisitor and co. as well.
However - you may not have access to some of the skills in the Sword & Shield tree that require a shield.
I thought i saw a tweet from Laidlaw saying players will default to a shield regardless.

Hell, if by some miracle modding becomes possible - I want some enterprising modders to recreate DA:O and DA 2 in o-so-glorious Frostbite! ![]()

And then get shut down by EA after years of hard work.
Is it just me, or was that video horribly pixelated at 720 and 1080p?

It looks a little better when you find it and load it from the main youtube site.

Yeah, the video is not the greatest. There's a lot of compression going on. But even still, it's a very, very cool area. ![]()

Another thing, is this game auto attack again? Cause sometimes I saw the characters attacking even when the enemy died or went away. Or is the combat button smash now?
The Brecilian Forest ain't got nothing on the Emerald Graves.
Indeed. ![]()
But that said, I thought the Brecillian Forest was one of the more impressive areas in DA:O. Second only to Orzammar...

If only they make it better than the HD Origins mod, that chewed up so much space. As if Origins didn't dump enough files onto the RAM...

I saw the Inquisitor stabbing at air as well. But auto-attack is a toggle in the game.
Indeed.

Hmm. I have to say Ostagar looked pretty good too. But yes, Orzammar and the Deep Roads did look the best.
Imagine those exact areas in Frostbite 3....
True for that but still shows people need not worry about system requirements at-least if the whole thing is optimzed like that.
I underlined the IF. I trust Bioware to a degree, but they haven't worked on a cutting-edge engine since... well, forever, really, unless you count the Infinity engine. And Frostbite is not known for being generous regarding requirements. AND maybe the lastest string of poorly optimized AAA titles have undermined my confidence somewhat *glares at Watch Dogs*.
I don't think you will need twin Titans to run at max settings, but it will probably be pretty close. And I don't see minimum requirements required anything but a relatively recent card.

Know what you mean about watch dogs, I'm still a little hopeful but not letting that hope cloud my judgement.
Edit: Still looking like one par with BF 4 though. And planning to upgrade to an GTX 970 Asus version from my current gtx 770 if possible before DA:I or some other GTX 970.
I plan to upgrade my PC before DA:I's release. A Geforce GTX 970 should be more than enough.

Yes indeedy... They showed off some fantastic natural-looking caves recently.

1.) For the first time, I really noticed the SOUND. It sounded amazing - footsteps on grass going to footsteps on stone. And I LOVE how the companions talk in battle: "Solas needs help!" and Varric says something like, "We're coming, Solas!" when he goes down.
See, I love things like this among the party members. Shouts and any dialogue during fights adds a lot.One thing I noticed were the portraits. Really digging the style of them, and I found it interesting when the characters health was low the appearance of the portrait turned bloody and beaten up.
Anyway, it looks great overall. And the sound effects really stuck out to me, especially the ambiance of the forest.

Oh I nearly forgot about that one...
