The EGX multiplayer demo was apparently run on an X-Box One.

Can't seem to find any proof on the Youtube descriptions of them.  But then the visual quality of Youtube wouldn't really allow for any kind of real comparisons.

The point is, we want to see the pc ui in action.

Mouse and Keyboard UI, or M+KB UI would be more accurate here.

Sure.  But no reason to make make it more confusing than it already is.

You have 5 platforms in total, but only 2 UI's. (and only 1 that we've actually seen in gameplay form)

None of the combats are that realistic, DAO was too slow and DA2 was too fast-paced

DA:I tones it down and makes it more weighted

How is this more weighted exactly? I watched half of it and everyone is hacking away at each other, not in the least bit bothered by being hit until they drop dead. DA2's perma stagger on my mage at release was awful, but this is not much better. The PC launches himself into enemies like a cannonball and they just remain standing and draw their weapon. And Varric happily floats away with his backflips.

Maker, those Varric's backflips are HORRIBLE. Same for Solas' casting animations. I really hope neither gets into the final build.

Also, I wish we knew the real FPS and the PC config. It did not look like 60+ to me, more like 30-40.

The video was probably capped at 30 FPS.

It's YouTube, so you can be 95% sure it's 30 fps because almost all YT videos are 30.

And I'm disappointed to tell you that I'm pretty sure both sets of animations are in the final build.

I didn't think the gameplay was too bad, but I agree Verric backflips were a bit outrageous.

Looks like DA2 but toned down a little and with a bit more weight to me.  Which is what they were going for and probably the best compromise.  One of the common reviews of DA2 is that the combat's better but everything else regressed.

The graphics are stunning though.  We're at the point where environments are close to indistinguishable from the real world.  Human animations are still unrealistic, but they're harder to do.

Looks nice. Based on the graphics we're seeing, I doubt this game requires a ridiculously powerful GPU to run at max.

Youtube videos (until very recently) were capped to 30 FPS. So yeah. Regardless of the game's framerate, the video is going to output the footage at 30.

Also, home stretch guys. The "Alpha Build" water mark is no longer present on the footage. Getting close to gold.

a small number in the corner indicating the initial 'live' famerate would be useful, imo. Could be hard-capped, sure. But what's the point in demonstrating 'best PC graphics' in a crappy 30 frames? And with not a hit about what config was it running on.

Whats with these "awwww"´s and "owwww"´s here? There is nothing special in that video.

And that bloody shield dude is a obvious ME3 rip off.

That's your opinion. They have a different one.

So in a fantasy RPG game in a medieval setting, no one should use Tower Shields just because they appeared in a different game?

Thats....an odd point of view.

That 'bloody shield dude' mechanic was already introduced in DA2: Legacy.

You do have a point. Sans PC UI, there's nothing really new here aside from the quest summary thing. Pretty much all the footage we've been seeing for the last year has been from the PC.

My god I'm glad we have tactical cam. I can zoom far, far away from the JRPG inspired monstrosity that is the combat ;_;. I actually miss the Origins' shuffle watching it :(

Wow, this looks fantastic! Finally, some gameplay without constant commenting over it.

The ambient and combat sounds are great, but where is the combat music?

To each their own, but I'm never gonna miss the Origins float shuffle. I like the backflips and other aspects of the combat, including the tactical camera shown in other videos.

And Thedas looks better than ever.

Thats not a tower shield in hands of human, its a darkspawn with gigantic shield. Besides I fould it ridiculous feature in DA2 too so I have no love for it here. Why does everything have to turn into monster mash with awesome overpowered ridiculous features? I mean, did that darkspawn work in the road maintenance clearing snow?

There is nothing odd about it. There is nothing wrong with tower shields, but I have issue with how it is implemented.

The answer's in your question. The video's demonstrating PC 'graphics', not performance. It's about the visuals.

There is combat music if you listen. Just not very apparent.

The Emerald Graves, which we hadn't seen in gameplay before.

And not it really is not. It's a combat idea that's been around for quite some time. It's in ME3, sure, but also in DA2's Legacy DLC, and other non-BioWare games like the Arkham series, and the Uncharted series, to name but a few.

Love the gameplay, can't wait to finally play it for myself.

Edit:  Also nice that the character portraits change as the characters take damage.

Curious by what they mean at 5:03 "to find the warden". Would that be blackwall or the hero of Ferelden?

Also amazed by how beautifull the environment looks, way better than DA2.

Yes, that is a great detail.

Could be any Warden, though as they've said we won't meet the Hero of Ferelden in-game I'm going to assume it's either Blackwall or some unknown Grey Warden.
