Ya it's cool when mages in RPGs have big AoEs as super attacks or something. Like say, in Dragon's Dogma, you have an earthquake, tornadoes, meteors. Should at least have the big stuff from DAO back, like that spinning tower of flames, the blizzard, the electric tempest
Should Dragon Age have Ultimate Spells?

It is surprising that you chose an anime clip over a video game clip. You could've chosen any of the end game abilities from Final Fantasy. It would be nice to have a spell like Ultima or Flare.
Not coincidentally, all Final Fantasy games past 5/6ish have been heavily influenced by anime.
But I do like playing a mage who wields ultimate power. And then gets killed when she eats irresistible poisoned chocolates.

Except none of the focus stuff we've seen has anything to do with offense, group healing, is pretty much the only one i can remember hearing about. Also existing content has shown that isn't the when it comes to what is the ceiling for magic in DA.
Shapeshift into a High Dragon
Opening Rifts and Summoning Hoards of Demons
Rising a Army of Undead
Every Spell Combo in Dragon Age Origins
Destroying an entire Church that was as big as the Viscounts office/Guard Barracks.
Moving an entire Village into the Fade.
I love the idea of having back the system of spell combo as we found in DAO.

They should make them high level so they are available end game and not mid game. Spells like tempest were way too overpowered anyway and bugged.

I would love to see some mage ultimate spells, but then they would have to give other classes something ultimate too and that's where the problem begins.
