Hi,

I recently decided to mod Mass Effect 2 with the programs Gibbed Save Editor (for ME2) and Modio.

I wanted to edit my starting save so that I could change my decisions in ME1. So I searched throughout the internet and found this handy dandy article on this site!

(here is the url to the tutorial)

http://forum.bioware...updated-532011/

It seemed pretty simple and I had all it needed. (note: I have not done any modding in the past, except with Sims 3, which is pretty simple) I followed the instructions to what I thought was to the letter.

I moved my save to a proper USB and opened it with Modio. Then I encountered some problems.

1. When I had to "extract the file to Gibbed" I did not know where in the first place, there were no options whatsoever. I also don't know a lot about Modio's current format and where things are so I might not have knew where it was.

2. When I just grabbed the save through "exploring the USB" option and put it on my desktop to upload there, the save showed up like this:

(it also looked like this before pulling it out)

I couldn't even find it when I tried to import it to Gibbed.
I also noticed Gibbed only accepted .xbsav files and none of my saves were .xbsav files

So how do I convert it? Is that even possible?

Prior to uploading to my computer, I saved the game right after Shepard "Wakes Up" and then I moved it to the USB.

I am quite confused right now and I would absolutely LOVE some help.

Genesis doesn't allow you to set that many things. Only the larger story-aspects not smaller ones. Gibbed is more complete.
