I was just curious is there a way to turn off the Heads Up Display options that show the party's healthbars & icons, mini map compass, abilities icons etc. Or are they up full time ? In the case of the latter, would it be at all possible to get an option included to toggle them on and off? I certainly like to use such things under some circumstances but I generally prefer to play with as minimalist a HUD as possible.

Because of the style of gameplay (party management of health, mana/stamina, status effects, etc) I doubt HUD toggling will be a standard option. :(

I'm with you, though! Not a big fan of the UI design myself.

The only thing I really dislike with HUDs is when I can't toggle the minimap. It's great when I need it, but most of the time, I find myself looking at the map in the corner more than directly at the screen.

From what I've seen, the HUD only appears in combat. When exploring (and not being attacked), it doesn't show, except for the minimap I think.

We had a HUD toggle option in the previous games, it was set to V IIRC.

So it's very likely that DA:I will have the HUD toggle option as well.

UI is way to big, and way to colorful, reminds me more of Torchlight than Dragon age

I hope we can hide the objectives displayed in the top right corner. It's way too big. The V toggle option in the previous games was a bit impractical for exploration. I only used it for screenshots!
