Chests... ok

Corpse looting is a bit too slow and in a long run will become an annoying routine.

Button in option menu to make it instantaneous?

Show loot window a bit earlier (about 0.5 sec), so we wouldn't need to wait extra time? Even if you don't want to cut animation, this way it will save some miliseconds every time.

Loot animation -> Take loot -> End

While Loot animation, Take loot -> End of Minimal Loot animation = End (Better option)

Or is it just loading time? Then the button for "no sitting", please.

I would like to second this. Also I'm currently playing Wasteland 2 and they have it set up to auto loot corpses within a certain radius of the corpse that you are currently looting, this is a very efficient and further cuts down on the busy work of moving to every individual corpse just to sort through what is usually junk.

Holy impatience batman....

I like the looting animation. So as long as that stays I don't care.

Actually going to agree with the OP here. This seems like the sort of thing one would never suspect for being supreme annoying but only becomes so partway through the game or on a replay. It's not a big deal just do something like the OP suggested or slightly shorten the animation/delay.

I strongly object to auto-looting (like ME), but I don't see why it should require an animation.

Lol, the lack of patience is strong in this one. The fastest looting system would be to hack the game and get all the loot you will ever want in the first 5 minutes of the game.

I would like it if loot automatically went into your inventory without you having to click on dead bodies personally. If you are running through a gauntlet of enemies how much looting downtime do you imagine to have?

I would prefer for the loot to enter you bags automatically with a fly-over text telling us what we got, so that I could just keep on going through without stopping.

The DA II way of looting was great imo. After, we can discuss.

Nobody is that busy....nobody.

I am when it begins to feel more like a chore.

Sometimes games make too much useless crap drop so you have to go through every single corpse to find the one or two items that are really valuable. I'd much prefer if the one or two valuable things were the only items that dropped.

I agree that the animation of picking something slows all the process everytime. I would rather remove it and have the system of DA II.

I don't mind the animation that much, what will annoy me is having to go through every single corpse with that animation. Just put the option of area loot, like in SWToR. I'm not saying they should force us to area loot, just leave the option for people who don't want to go through eveyr corpse, or maybe you'll want it in later playthroughs. That way the team doesn't have to scrap that animation they worked on.

Liked the looting speed in monday's PC version.
If it delay was really decreased, then I would like to thank Bioware employees.
If not... I apologize for creating this topic in the first place.
If it's the difference between console and PC - Now we know.

Edit: An option for no Animation would be still great tho.

I agree.  Sitting through that animation is a waste of time and it's going to get incredibly tedious once we're past the 30 hour mark...  I'd prefer a simple menu like in the past, but I'm sure it's too late to change this...

My preference is the group loot, let me se all the loot in a certain radius, so I can pick and choose loot.

I don't know if auto looting would work all that well with a limited inventory system, but then again I do tend to loot everything and sell often.  So maybe?  I've never been all that annoyed with the looting, and in fact enjoy seeing what each body has on it.  There's something rather fun about finding a rare goody from an unexpected source.  Though usually it's only boss level enemies that have good loot.

Remember in the last 2, there were one or two instances when looting actually had to be done during combat?  Usually, the loot was insignificant, but it added a bit of challenge if you were into that sort of thing.  One of my wardens was a pathological pickpocket and made sure to get a early start, mid combat.  He even picked pocket (if it could be called that) of the kitchen cat at Arl Eamon's estate in Denerim (no loot.)  That was a blast.  I always make sure to loot the Mob Leader during the Petrice fight as well.  The one that was hardest in the series was betraying Sophia Dryden and trying to snag that warden commander armor set before the cutscene while Avernus was lobbing fireballs.

I'm not saying I would object to a feature where you hit the R key and looted (after finding the loot), but I would hate to see loot challenges go the way of the dodo.  Part of the fun of finding and getting treasure is finding and getting it.  Without a few surprises, why have treasure at all?  Just kill all the baddies and turn in the quest for the reward.  Didn't someone say there will be a garden at Skyhold for growing stuff like elfroot?  I might be wrong on that.  If you're not into picking flowers, you still have a source, it's just a bit slower, and you won't get as much.  That's a fair compromise.

I'm fine with the way it is. This is not an ARPG and no MMO. -_- The way it works makes it quite immersive. That's great. :)
