When you equip the batarian gauntlet on a krogan sentinel, soldier, etc, he gets the head splatter animate when he kills mooks with his running heavy melee.  Like so:

tumblr_mmpojwZYik1rex9fco1_400.gif

... with ravagers being the most fun target.

Has anyone ever tried this with the Krolord's 3 hit light melee attack?  I'm nowhere near my PC otherwise I'd test it out myself.  Answer me noaw pls.

I think you sliced their head off with your Omni-blade.

Ah ah ! That good old gif.
I never tried it with the krolord because while using the gauntlet, you will loose the original heavy melee. And I have to admit I'd hate loosing the "hammer in the face" effect in krolord HM. On the melee krosent on the other hand, it's still my favorite setup.

I guess it would work tougth. Best way to know is to try it.

True, but in most cases the 3 hit melee is just as good as the heavy smash since the final hit triggers your hammer charge, so it wouldn't be a hardship to equip the Warlord with the gauntlet for a game or two.  I'll try this evening if noone else gets to it.  But that's 10 hours away from me so I'm dangling some hope for instant gratification.

Head Splatter, Doesn't Matter, you still get sync killed when a team mate staggers your target just when you are about to attack.

There should be headshot medals for such melee attacks.

Getting sync killed while kroganing is reserved for pyjacks. Real krogan get into fistfights with banshees and emerge victorious.

Phantoms R a bit more problematic for the krolord

Biotic hammer= flying wannabe ninjas everywhere. Given enough stored charges, krolord can wipe an entire deathsquad and send them into orbit.

I don't have a source, but I am fairly sure the batglove's damage only applies to falcon punches.  If you perform a light melee (combo) or a running heavy melee the standard damage will apply.

oh, look, this post again.

l2k.

I've played the melee krogan a fair bit and have played with some great krogan players, almost without exception even the best ones get sync or barely saved from being sync'd.  Two things get you sync'd that is a bit beyiond your control.  1)  just having a huge hit box and no mobility to are vulnerable to a sudden out of the blue sync.  2) Helpful teammates who stagger enemies as you are about to attack them leave you in sever sync jeopardy.

If you play a lone wolf style or solo you have a much better chance of not getting synced because you can dictate how the enemies come at you and when and where you attack them.  If you have a clean shot you will rarely blow killing a phantom, you can also do the old ramp maneuver.  In full team mode its much tougher.  You either get synced or you play chicken krogan.

Your krogan will rarely get synced if you just spam inferno nades and shoot them with claymore.

I'm basing my comments on all the games I play whether I am a krogan or not.  See a guy playing pure melee?  Set the timer until he is in spectator mode.

I play a melee krolord at least once almost every time i log on and I hardly ever get sync killed, and I actually see a lot of other people doing the same. I take your meaning about the lone wolf thing though, as the only time I usually get sync killed when melee'ing is when I'm about to smash 2 phantoms and some other player causes them to put up their bubbles (praetorians can be a ****** too when people cause it to put it's bubble up).

Mostly it's all about learning the sync kill triggers and manipulating them. I think it also might depend on your platform. I'm on PC, and playing melee is objectively MUCH easier on PC than it is on consoles.

What I mean is, the gauntlet's base damage is only used when the falcon animation plays out.  At least that's how I think it works.

Krogan headbutt: 300 base

Krogan running heavy slap: 700, but decapitates.  Executed by triggering heavy melee while already sprinting.

Batarian punch: 800
