Dude! Have you even played Assassin's Creed? It looks nothing like AC! xD

This is why you let people who are fans of the series play not noobs who play cod all day. Next time i hope bioware let a decent player play this or do it themself not cod players.

Seriously, Dragon Age elitists who slag off "noobs" are every bit as annoying as COD elitists who slag off "noobs".
OMGERD TEH CASUALZ R PLAYING MAH GAME!!!!
Get a grip.
Reading the comments here, I think I'm gonna watch this with sound turned off. ![]()
Not much, according to the guy on the r/dragonage thread about it: "[..] I do use the tactical camera in another video I am editing now showing off the first dragon fight"
I can't wait to see all 15 seconds of it.
Much better than DAO combat. I hated the DAO combat.
DAO combat felt disconnected, like your characters were just floating in space, swinging their weapons hilariously slow at nothingness. DA2 IMO was better, I just hated the mechanics surrounding it in that you would get stuck in an area and have waves and waves of enemies appear out of nowhere. It seems like they at least fixed that aspect, I'm just hoping we can tone down the flashy animations.

"Elements" does not mean they look alike. He brought it up while referring to traversing an area in order to activate "landmarks" on the map (which is something you also do in AC) before going on to reference the World Map system of sending people out on real-time quests (something you do a lot of in many AC games). It made sense.
This guy narrating is pissing me off. Talks over what little dialogue there was and clearly has no idea about the series or mechanics at all.
If he were female there would be screaming of "fake gamer girl" all over the place.
People still say that type of things? That is just sad, not everyone needs to know everything, especially people that got only a circumstantial interest on DA.

Yeah the "enemies pop up from nowhere" was little annoying but at least the combat was much more bearable. And i'm glad DAI made the combat system much better.

Oh please, having a mini map with fast travel points, many different collectibles and the ability to climb ladders is not exactly an AC exclusive thing. If we were jumping around on rooftops, climbing on walls and stabbing everyone in sight I might agree.
Edit: do sort of agree on the sending out minions mini game, that does sound a bit similar.
Commentary leaves... much to be desired. I can deal with unfamiliarity with the lore, and inexperience with gameplay, but the articulation and flow are just grating.

The point is not that he needs to know everything, the point is he got flown out to EA on their dime to get a chance to play a big budget unreleased title and didn't even bother taking the time to get the characters names right. If he wants to be taken seriously as a competitor among the gigantic sea of Youtube game guides and reviews, that's not how you do it.
Those ROCKS.
Geez.
That DRAGON.
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
Am... yeah. Any time you want to make with that TAC-CAM video there Bioware. Sometime before release would be appreciated.
At this rate you are letting these players/youtuber's misrepresent your game. They rush through it at a million miles an hour on Easy & still get Bodied by basic groups of enemies. You don't see Shooters being played really badly in their marketing campaign do you?
Just post a video where someone actually knows how to play the game properly. Is that too much to ask for?

2 HOURS to beat the Dragon?!
Hurry November!! Also this guy has giant fight videos?
Further up on this page is his second video. I'm assuming the others will come up throughout the day.
I don't know if he knows who Gimli is.
He means Varric. As in Gimli is a dwarf and Varric is a dwarf therefore Varric is the Gimli Character.

Agreed, I'm not saying that I would have made that comparison myself, nor that any of the mechanics you mentioned (which I didn't, btw) were exclusive to AC. I'm just saying that the commentator's comparison (with regards to finding 'landmarks'/'viewpoints') wasn't nearly as stupid as people are suggesting. He never once said that they looked the same, or shared the same core gameplay mechanics (jumping around, climbing walls, stabbity-stab-stab).
This is one of those videos that would have benefited no commentary... "Gimli"... "The chick".
C'mon guy!
Another one!
I like the way this dragon looks.
The dragon fight also seemed pretty difficult, which is good. Might have been because he was low level? Either way, I'm probably not going to be killing one, considering how bad I am at combat ![]()
Giant fight also seemed pretty cool, from what I saw. Fade Step will be useful for mages to get out of the giant's boulder AOE, I think.
