It's cool that they have been letting people play it hands on and post their own videos on it. It's a good sign, that they are confident enough in the quality of their game that they are willing to let third parties talk about it so openly before its released.

You can totally hear the PR spin, they told him what to say and he said it. If you needed any evidence of "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine" this video is it.

It looks good. No judgments until I have played it for at least a few hours.

Not sure. We've seen videos from 3 different people at this event now, and they've not really been saying the same 'PR stock phrases' as each other. When I compare it to something like the "hands-on" reviews of WWE's MyCareer mode (a game that comes out the same day as DAI) that had all reviews read almost word-for-word the same, like they just all watched the same presentation video without playing the game at all... these DAI videos seem a lot better. Either that, or BW are just cleverer with what they tell different reviewers to say.

Is it just me, or does Cassandra look so much more attractive in the in-game menu screen than she has in all of the promotional art?
I am hoping she does look better in game...being the only female companion romance for males and all....I have not been impressed with her so far, just hoping the constant "You pissed in my cornflakes" look is not always her expression.

Don't think they told him what to say, but flying someone that isn't very well known to a game studio to try your game will probably influence how they experience the game. I'd be pretty giddy if I were in his shoes.
I think it is neat that they let him record and bring the footage from when he played with him.

Fair enough, but why is that important? She's still a female romance option with about the same amount of content as Cassandra.

You failed to mention the Nemesis-System at least 3 times.

The people doing this are getting paid by EA to produce positive coverage. I mean, check the "Sponsored by EA Ronku" banner at the start of the video, as well as in the description.
edit: I don't think there's anything hugely wrong about that since it's not really hidden, but clearly some people aren't aware of this so I thought it's worth mentioning.

Then I guess you'll either have to deal with Cassandra, try out Dorian or Iron Bull, or else just not romance someone

Yeah, this is an ad campaign, make no mistake.
Still, as far as ad campaigns go, it's a pretty hands-off one. Visibly, they gave them the game, plopped them in an area and said ''go nuts, just record and show it''. Obviously many of them will want to be positive (don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that) but that doesn't change the fact that the gameplay footage is not doctored to look better and that what you see is what you get, regardless of the commentaries. Hell, some videos still show bugs like the floating rocks in the dragon fight.
If this was a DA2 and Bioware/EA weren't sure about the game, I think they wouldn't have done something like that. They must have at least some confidence on the title if they're willing to show it with less overview than usual one month before release.

I have had my doubts about this. I mean there is so much you can do with a companion that with an advisor. The companions are with you 24/7. The advisors are only ever going to be in the Skyhold.
ME3 Spoilers
There were a number of such events in ME3 and they were are so very touching and made the characters more life like. It showed that you don't really have to wait till the sex scene at the end game to show that you or your LI really cares.
I am not saying that touching (not the physical type) scenes can't be done at skyhold, but way more can be done on the field. Like in main story you can show that the Inquisitor gets badly hurt in a fight and his / her LI drags him out of combat and behind a big rock. The Inquisitor is lying with his / her in the LIs lap and the LI is wiping the blood off the Inquisitor's forehead.
I guess you can do the same with advisors, but by the they reach Andoral's reach some one would have healed the Inquisitor and the tender moment would have passed.
Or maybe Bioware has not included any on field tender or touching (both physical and emotional) type scenes with the companions. Which would suck, but bring equality to the advisor and companion romance.

Well we know we can go out and do some missions alongside advisors.
I guess we'll see. Personally I like having an LI at home; means I don't have to drag him/her around everywhere to hear all the romantic dialogue.

Romantic dialogue!? With Cassandra?
Gaider will burn the world, before he writes anything even remotely fuzzy and heart warming. Bastila and Morrigan were his previous romances for males, it should give you a small idea how he writes LIs. (And why I love them).
*clears throat*
And not everything has to be mushy mushy. People show concern for people they care about by simple gestures , it doesn't always to be talking about butterflies (looking at you leliana) or spreading STDs (looking at you Isabella). And this can even happen with non-romance characters. Like Garrus and MaleShep, one of the best friendships in video games.
The best example I would like to say how fulfilling Traynor (I might have misspelled) romance is compare to Liara. Or Steve to Garrus. Though the comparison is flawed because of the fact that those characters have been with us for nearly 5 years.
But even if a new guy is playing the number of interactions is way higher with Liara / Garrus compared to Traynor / Steve.
Obviously bed-time conversations are supposed to be for the bed-time. You don't want the whole inquisition to know that Cassandra has a thing for hairy chests. Or that your PC has a hand fetish. But I was not talking about these conversations.
Anyhow, enough derailing the thread for the day.
We should get on with the topic.

Cassandra is the first actual "romantic" that Gaider has written though. I believe he said as much.

And I thought the Traynor romance acquitted itself remarkably well considering it was up against the home team, as it were.

I wonder if we'll be able to use the same armor as our companions, because Verric's scout armor would look good on my Inquisitor. I would love to show off my elf Inquisitor's bird chest.

I believe (and I'm sure people will correct me if I'm wrong) that armour IS interchangeable between characters... BUT the appearance of the armour changes to suit the style of the character. So while [Generic Armour 1] might show off Varric's manly manly chest, on Cassandra it would look different, on Solas it would look different, on the Inquisitor it would look different, etc...
As I say, that's my current understanding of how it works. I may be wrong.

You may also custom your armors. So you remove an armor, custom it another time and tada!!!! It looks completly different!
