Isn't that just engage mode during tactical cam?
I think you're right!

It's a function of the tactical cam. You give your party orders and then 'advance time'.
Oh, so that picture came from a shot of the Tactical Cam? That would make sense...
Some more clarification from Mike Laidlaw...
I'm not sure if this is spoilery or not, but I noticed an "Advance Time" function in DAI and wondered what it did? Day/Night?
I am not aware of an advance time function. Perhaps you meant "rest?" If so, it heals the party, restores all healing potions.
It also cleans your armor, if it's dirty. Because the Inquisition troops take pride in the boss looking spiffy.
I think I know what it is now. It's a function when you're in Tactical Mode. I think it's just to "un-pause" the game.
ah, yes. Starts time when you hold down the right trigger, stops again when you release.
Loving the male Inquisitor voice; I really wasn't fussed about the first one we heard but it must have just been for that video. Or this was the second voice and I am super bad at recognising voices. Also noticed an item called Phoenix Scales, just a name or do we think Phoenixes might be joining the Dragon Age lore?
Six weeks, one day.
Six weeks, one day.
Six weeks, one day.
...I can DO this.
God, I love Inquisitor's voice! (3:10)
Yup! The inquisitor sounds like my Sith Warrior in SWTOR. Nice!
Some interesting codex entries... Apparently Morrigan's role as the Empress' personal advisor and mage status is a known fact.
I do like that the compass gives you a clue as to when to use your Search ability, otherwise you'd be pinging every 2 steps! ![]()

This game looks absolutely effing amazing! Just look at those interiors....wow!
But there is one thing that bothers me a little: Having a dialogue with the Orlesian woman with the white hair did not go into the typical conversational cut scene type view. I mean, with all this facial fidelity, we now converse with people like in Skyrim?
Yeah, that bothers me :/

The game has both. Dialogues with relatively minor characters are usually done like what's seen in the video, and "more important" conversations have the traditional cinematic view with closeups, multiple camera angles etc. Look at the E3 demo, for instance and you'll see the familiar type of conversation that's similar to the earlier DA games, ME and so on.

Thank you for addressing my concern
