Some interesting new areas in the Chateau...

These videos have been great.
And it's good to see people playing badly, as I suck at combat. Looks like I'll be using tactical view more than I anticipated...
Solas and Varric chat about the dwarven nug trade? I have to hear more. lol.
I swear that dragon just moved it's tail a bit.
Also I guess arcane horrors can teleport now.
I loved how Varric revived Cass right before the Red Lyrium Ninja (or whatever it's actually called) reached them and Cass just... jumped up and started beating that thing.
That'd be cool. Make it our base of operations in the Emerald Graves.Does anyone think the Chateau can be used as a keep?
I thought that latest video was well-done, and the player made choices that made sense.
Also, I see ranged attackers will be useful against Arcane Horrors given how much they teleport about.
They're more blinky than Blinky.

Agreed. That'd be cool. Make it our base of operations in the Emerald Graves.

I hope so... I think I'd rather live there than Skyhold! ![]()

Pretty sure they could in DA2.
Goddamn Sky Horror from Mark of the Assassin.
Exactly. I hated that damn thing sooo much!
I want dat Jurassic Park-esque dragon fossil/statue thingie
I could've sworn that this Chateau d'Orterre is a completely different area to the big Villa Maurel that people have explored in other videos.
I rewatched the Villa videos and, especially in the one where the guy found the three pieces of the key, it looked like they unlocked or found everything in the entire place.
Am I missing something? Because to me it doesn't look like the Chateau is a place we've seen at all before now, even if it has a similar aesthetic and style to the smaller villa.

I was under the impression these are two different places as well...

Whoops, you're right! My bad.

Me three. Inside definitely looks different, and unless the Villa has another courtyard, the one in the latest video is not the same place.
Just noticed we get to see a new helmet on the Inquisitor in this one too...

I saw that too. The plume on the back reminded me of the description of Rowan's helmet in "The Stolen Throne."
I guess it's possible that it could even be her helmet. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that equipment from a character in the novels showed up in-game.
DEAR GOD. THEY HAVE A RED LYRIUM NINJA.
WHERE'S YOUR MAKER NOW!
Red lyrium guys look cool, hopefully the story allows the inquisition to succumb to the effects and turn into mutants
That Red Templar Assassin (I assume) was pretty ridiculous. I guess it goes to show that red lyrium is really not that good for your well-being, but it does turn you into a crystal ninja badass.
It looks like an electricity meter :S
Last quest to bring Skyhold up to building code. It's actually not a meter, but a breaker box. Never mind the lack of electricity, the code is the code, sense or not.
Another little tidbit from the video - notice how after the Red Lyrium Ninja takes down Solas, he forms some kind of electrical-looking connection with the other two Red Templar Knights... Restoring health maybe? Combat boost?
