But Carroll has the same rank as Cullen. (Or was Cullen promoted to the Knight Commander of Kirkwall?)
So Carroll is the Anti Cullen. An evil Moron and a Red Templer.
Cullen is Knight Commander now in DAI. He is a Pro-Templar/Mage Peace person despite his past.

Cullen is not a Knight-Commander, he explicitly says in one of the dev releases that they are no longer Templar, and that Knight-Captain is no longer his rank. He is the General of the Inquisition. This was shown in the bar scene breakdown action screeny.
Stance is said to be ProTemplar/Mage Peace from WoG blog.

Based on what's in the Keep, I'm wondering if Rogek's lyrium deal had something to do with Carroll being in the Red Templars... Godwin did say something about Carroll needing the lyrium.

Possible but i doubt it.
I think is more strange that Samson hasn´t got a tile in the Keep.
In one scenario he even joins the fight against the first Red Templar Meredith.

Heard if Karras is still alive, he will be a member of the Red Templars. Doesn't surprise me all things considered.
