[The Ascendant]

As we've played through the Dragon Age Games we've encountered and interacted with kids. Being big heroes we often leave a lasting impact on these young ones whose lives have been irrevocably altered because of our actions. Here is a list of whose life I've helped one way or another. My Canon Warden and Hawke was a Male Human Mage.

Connor Guerrin- Son of Arl Eamon, I was able to save both his life and his mother's when I entered the Fade and killed his demon. According to the epilogue, he excelled in life at the Circle and eventually went to Tevinter to study the Fade. I wonder how he has changed in ten years, and what kind of man and mage he is.

Amalia- Another child threatened by demons, I saved her life and her father's. I wonder what has become of her in the ten years since she met the Warden.

Old God Baby/Irving- (I don't know his real name. I am a bad parent) My son, the Old God Urthemiel reborn is of extreme interest to me. By the events of Inquisition he will be at least ten years old, and based on Concept Art staying with his mother in the Imperial Court in Orlais. He seems to resemble her physically and the Warden pendant is a fitting homage to his father. I suspect he is a mage, giving his parentage. Seeing as my Warden went with Morrigan through the Eluvian I suspect that my Warden had some interaction with him. What kind of person he is however, I have no idea. I am looking forward to see what he will become.

Lia- The elf girl we saved from a serial killer, according to Aveline she joined the city guard, an amazing feat for an elf compared to other nations.

Feynriel- The first Somniari in generations, I sent Feynriel to the Dalish, helped him overcome his nightmares and encouraged him to master his powers. According to my last correspondence he is an apprentice to a Tevinter Magister and doing well. Considering the fact he was able to kill bandits attempting to rape a woman half a world away is a testament to his incredible power and moral fibre. I wonder if he ever met a lad named Connor...

Any chance we could see these kids now young adults in Inquisition. Who knows, they may even end up aiding us against the Elder One.

Bah! Those little ankle bitters can't go one minute without releasing some demon, or becoming possessed and killing an entire village. I need to preform some ritual or task that will grant me eternal life; maybe something like becoming a golem, or using Blood Magic; so that I can make sure things get done right and proper. I'm not risking the fate of the world on some whippersnapper that can't even walk down the street without creating some world threatening abomination! 

 

 

 

In all seriousness though, I would love to meet these characters again, and see if they can provide aid to the Inquisition.

Connor went to Tevinter? Its been a while since I play origins. Does this happens If his mother doesn't die? Cause the Connor epilogue was always bugged for me.

It plays that one if Isolde is alive and Anora is queen. I married her to Alistair in my play through so I always got that info.

I've always wanted to see the heroic, adult version of Bevin in action.  I think he should be 20-23 or somewhere in that area when DA:I starts, so perhaps we'll run into him at the start of his adventuring career... unless that was just a rumor.  You never know.

 

I hope we find out what happened to those kids, even if they don't all become heroes... it would make the game feel more realistic, as we would be witnessing the passing of time first hand by seeing familiar faces growing up.

There's also those kids from the City Elf origin. You could tell them about elven heroes. I'm, err, pretty sure they kicked the bucket, though.

I want to know what happened to Walder & Cricket from Kirkwall and Dagna from Orzammar as well. Be nice to see how my Warden and Hawke affected their lives.

Addendum

Dagna, the Dwarven Mage- Dagna, of House Janar or Orzammar, bacme one of the first Dwarves in a very long time to study magic. As a Dwarf she is unable to actual use it but her study into the theory of it made for a great academic work. She went to the Circle Tower in Ferelden and studied there. Based on concept art and early demos she may end up joing the Inquisition.

Connor and Lia, I'm very interested in seeing.
Amalia and Feynriel probably won't be too fun to see at lower levels because of the way I leave demon related decisions up to the roll of the die.
But the one I want to see most of all I won't until my third PT, (assuming all goes according to plan), and that is the not-OGB, the one you get from romancing Morrigan but refusing the DR.

I get the feeling Conner (Or his little sister that gets born if he dies) will play a role eventually. They made sure that there's always a mage child alive that is Eamons kid. I'd love to see how he grows up if you save him.

My Dwarf saved Redcliffe with that sword! He can brag about that when he's stabbing demons.

The Noble Dwarf Male also has a son with Marde if its possible who may or may not be casteless. We know the other origins still happen so technically they're is a Dwarf Casteless son out there who has the potential for greatness.

 

Also Ser Jory's child would have been born and aged to at least 9 or 10 by now.

Since all dwarf wardens end up as paragons, wouldn't the kid get raised to a noble status? Either because his same gender parent is now a noble or because of the "a paragons whole house gets raised to nobility" thing.

 

 

The dwarf kid I'm wondering about is the son of the woman who you meet in dusttown. She was from the mining caste but since her sons father was casteless the kid was casteless. With your help she can end up going to the surface to raise him, or you can talk her family into taking her in, or if the chantry gets set up there he can be raised by burkel (although since it burns down the kid probably dies in that ending) or talk her into killing the kid.

 

If the kid exists I'd like to see him.

Well I guess there won't be too many upstart heroes in my games. I killed Connor, I let the little girl get possessed by kitty because her dad annoyed me, I paid Bevin's sister for the sword, I told Dagna to pike off and I made Feynriel tranquil

 

The only one on the list is the little elf girl I saved from the serial killer and the OGB is Alistair's and Morrgian's so... who the hell knows how that will turn out.

I had to kill Connor, make Feynriel Tranquil, and Morrigan's demon brat doesn't exist in my game, so the only one left to be a Big Damn Hero is Bevin. Wouldn't mind seeing that little dude again.

There's also Amethyne, whom you can't interact with, but I always headcannon that my Queen takes the little elven girl under her wing and raises her up, doing justice to Iona. Yes, I want to see them all. Bevin, Connor, Amalia, the child of Zerlinda, all of them. There is one child, however, that I guarantee will be upset with us:

 

The remaining survivor in Sten's massacre. I could see this child being very angry with the Warden for sparing the life of Sten, who is now the Arishok.

That is if they survive. Since they are related to Jory chances are that they're 100% dead.

Saw the title, assumed there would be a fire emblem awalening discussion going on. Slightly DISSAPOINTED

Let's see though, Connor feynriel as mages Bevin and Lia as warriors, dwarf nobles possible son, morrigan's kid......that's 6/9 right there. Just need 2-3 more rogues and 0-1 more warriors. And some girls to even out the roster. Someone get obsidian to make a spinoff game lmao.
