I tried to register my game over at the social network, but the key form the Origin client would not work. I was able to register my Mass effect 3 key, but not ME2. Note that i bought the Mass Effect Trilogy from Amazon, so that might have something to do with it.

I don't see how they can help. The game is registered and working fine on origin. It is a bioware social network problem, not a origin problem.

The only way to resolve this is by giving you another CD key to enter to BSN. I know because that's exactly what happened to me (Didn't purchase from Amazon though). BioWare cannot issue you a key. Only EA support can. Beware though that by having EA support give you a second copy on your Origin account, you may experience DRM activation issues of which I had to wrestle against too.
