So how strong we are, or how fast, or healthy or magically inclined seemingly depends on what we decide to wear. Do you know f*cking ridiculous this is? Your telling me they only difference between a mage and rogue stats wise is the clothes their wearing? Your telling me that i wont be able to cast a certain spell or use a certain skill or pick a damn weapon if im not wearing the right armor?  Bioware needs elaborate more on this asap.

You're assuming things.

Obviously a rogue and mage won't be the same stats wise, as stats grow while you level up, you just won't be able to allocate them yourself.

And literally no one said that spells/skills have stat requirements, idk where this is even coming from.

Idk but the 8 tactical slots and this will make me think harder about every battle and level up.

I was skeptical about the series but I'm getting a bit of an old school vibe from the news. I like

What I hear whenever anybody says something like this is that they want a carbon copy of a previous game (usually DA:O). This is a new game people, just relax a little bit.

Do I want a carbon copy of the previous game? No.

Do I think certain gameplay elements shouldn't be radically altered between every freaking sequel?Abso-freaking-lutely,

Don't put words in my mouth or try to assume what I want.

Read my post again, especially the last bit, slowly.

And you even watch the gameplay vids? There are stat requirements.

Agreed.

I did not want DAO the remastered edition. Because DAO had its flaws too.

I wish it was turning into ME3. Say what you will about the writing, but the guys designing the gameplay end of it actually listened. They dropped the weapon restrictions on classes, added in a ton of new weapons and armors that were severely lacking in ME2, and gave us both weapon upgrading and weapon customization back. All the while making the weapons function differently so they weren't just clones with reskins like so many of ME1's were, which is what ME2 had attempted to fix.

Yes, imagine what it would be like if Bioware had actually listened to fan complaints about DA2.

Imagine if they had made combat more tactical and provided a tactical camera.

Imagine if they had eliminated wave-based combat all of the time.

Imagine if they had provided clarification for action-based dialogue options to avoid confusion.

Imagine if they had brought back armor and weapon changing for companions.

Imagine if they had rectified the problem of endlessly repetitive levels by providing huge, open, and diverse environments full of stuff to do.

I understand the frustration over the change, but some people are going on as if it is going to ruin the entire game, and I think it's just...overblown to say the least.

They clearly wanted to make the game harder.

The limited potions and health regen along with the ability limit already did that.

...so...if I make armour that makes me meet the stat requirement for the armour I'm trying to put on...will my character's legs buckle immediately the moment she puts the new armour on because without her old armour's strength bonus, she can't wear it? :S

Mind=blown

With the new crafting system, this is not really a problem, I think. Still why take the choice from the players? maybe I want a mage with a lot of health and a tanking side, who knows.

For example I have a creation mage that uses a greatsword on DA:O and heavy armor. I love how I can be almost anything in DA:O without restrictions on classes. Kinda sad to see they are restricting the game even more, now it is not only the 8 skills, sigh.

Hayden's Razor wouldn't look so bad if they scaled it down a bit. And by bit I mean a lot.

That's fine, but they've hacked off player choice for our own characters at the goddamn knees and are phrasing it like it's the best thing for us.

That's lovely! I'd love to carry something like that around especially on my warrior ladies.

And if you put a scratch on it she's liable to kick you in the shin. XD
