Rogues seem to have better % Weapon damage compared to mages...with the exception of Fire Mine, which seems to deal 1600% weapon damage. That shadow strike... 600% ( 400% normal and 200% if you in stealth )
Btw how do i quote the video ? T_T

Well, considering how powerful it is, it's normal that it has a long cooldown.

True it kind of lets you decide when to use it, If it was me i would use it when one stupid minion goes Suicide Run on me then i pop it right in front of me directly below the stupid minion feet and he goes kaboom ![]()
But of course if they group up i will gladly pop it on them

Damn, I should have payed more attention. This artificer talent that resets your health seems like it will be broken as hell. Plant the lantern, kill as many henchmen as you can, reset. Wait 15 seconds and repeat. Do the same for boss.

Note to self, pick varric, buff Bianca, Solo dragon, troll face.Provided that it works on boss.
It'll talk time, but I'll be damned if I let that stop me.

I guess that's what we will do then. I just don't like the idea that I have to use an upgrade every time I want to put more enchantments on a weapon or piece of armour or accessory, granted I think the extra slot is for all of them. I don't really like the idea of having to use one of my slots for con for gear when I can permanently increase it via stat allocation and we can't do that with passives. Weapons change too much for it to work the way I would like, but who knows maybe there will be ingredients galore in this game. One can hope.
There's 400 crafting materials separated between Potions, Armor and weapons.

There has to be some catch or limit to it - I don't see how a two artificer party can fail.

I don't know if there's a catch but the added CC and supportive passives probably means less DPS compared to the Assassin Spec.

Does that matter though? Simply fall back at <15% health for each rogue, attack at range with a manually controlled Mage, trololol.I don't know if there's a catch but the added CC and supportive passives probably means less DPS compared to the Assassin Spec.

Broken builds aren't necessarily speedy - AW took a while to whittle down health but it was unkillable.

Fallback plan does sound kinda broken but we haven't played the game yet so who knows. Anyways what i was trying to say is that each spec should have their strengths.
Artificer: great battlefield control.
Assassin: probably Insane damage
Tempest: not really sure but the description sounds cool imo.

I could see it being like an AoE spec. That'd be dandy. I know I've heard it said that it's kind of a mix between mage and rogue.

With that description, is it more likely that Cole or Sera is the Tempest? I assumed that Cole was an Assassin, but if Tempest is a kind of mage/rogue hybrid it might work better for him given his... unique constitution.

I think followers do their own thing. Not sure if they have their own skill tree, like DA2, but I'm pretty sure they don't have our specialisations.

I mean that you're right on armour drops, but even with only 2 weapon styles/class the RNG could still fist you by dropping weapons for a style you don't use (e.g. you use all your rogues as archers, and then you get a bunch of daggers).
Considering that all the rogue have different spec. i don't see how all the bows will give the same benefit for Varric,Sera and Cole.

Well, lore wise it makes sense since he was the only one with genuinely unique abilities Hawke couldn't possibly have replicated. I liked his too.I think so the only companion spec i really liked was fenris then again i really like that one lol.

Some people seem to think that the lore of the game changed just as much as the combat... Hmmm.

I'm not sure I follow - whether or not a particular spec is designed more with daggers in mind doesn't mean that a player will (1) spec the NPC rather than use the non-spec trees; and (2) if you happen to give them all bows, then still, dagger drops aren't helping.

Putting aside the notion that probably there are spec designed more around a specific weapon type (i didn't really think about it) you are basing your speculation that each bow dropped will have stats & bonus that will create the same sinergis with all the specialization.
Example (random number and stats inside).
in short time you find 3 bows with the same base damage:
- First have a dex bonus and increased willpower
- Second have cunning and lighting damage
- third have a dex and increased crit %
Probably the third will work better with assassin, the first the tempest and the second with the trap spec (the one used by varric i don't remember the name).
