How "attractive" you want to make your PC:s? How important is it?

Well I'm playing elf so it is expected of my character to be attractive.

Unashamedly flawless, symmetrical, and typically beautiful.

I never make repulsive or funny characters but usually I will make attractive characters and characters who look beat up. The decision starts when I role the character and I start to decide on his or her background. If the character has lived a tough life with lots of fighting then I want the character to reflect that.

Attractive can mean a Lot of things to me, if I make my character pretty gnarly looking..which I can and will, i'm probably going to find them attractive.
I really just try to make them suiting to which ever slight idea I have for them and unless they end up looking close to me (which has never happened before) I'm probably going think they look pretty good, I like to think that is just because I'm amazing at playing in the customization though.
... I do try to stay away from just generally "perfect" looks. but that could also be because I don't think thats the coolest, most interesting or really attractive.
First characters going to be an elf and I really just want to have huge ears. i'll put everything else together when I'm actually playing.

I like my characters rather good looking, yes. I don't usually add scars or markings to add personality or backstory. I have a scar on my forehead and it doesn't reflect on me in anyway but to say I was in a random accident as a kid. It hasn't had any impact on my life, really. But I might create a tank with a scar and steal Mike Laidlaw's axe to the face backstory because that sounds kind of badass.

To me is more about being real than attractive, I like to put flaws on my characters faces because it gives them personalty. In DA 2 was kinda difficult to do this on FemHawke, since we have more options now I really hope I can do some good ones on DA:I

I always tend to like making my characters fairly attractive, but not always conventionally so. I find though that when I'm trying really hard to make my character really attractive, a lot of the time they instead lean more towards looking rather odd and well..."fake" lol. When I don't focus on it so much and add the little quirks like perhaps less than perfect skin or a scar, they for me look more unique and more attractive.
My characters are almost always at least somewhat attractive. They can have freckles, beauty spots, small scars, or the complexion of a 30+ year old and still be attractive to me, though.
One thing I never do is make them look... super glamorous? I'm not sure of the word I'm going for... I try to make them look grounded in the setting. I don't pack on the makeup, or install mods that add elaborate, wispy hairstyles. My characters are attractive, but don't look like they are walking directly off a fashion shoot and into the Deep Roads.
Yup, this a thousand times for me too...it can just look off otherwise.

Generally I like them easy on the eye.
In Inquisition I've got an idea for creating an Uruk-Hai-like Qunari (yes, I've killed some Uruks recently). Ugly is interesting.
My elves are always as beautiful as I can make them. (Pretty is pretty.) Sometimes the're also a bit androgenic (if possible ... well ... it's not that hard, really, elven males have no stubbles, so I can't even be tempted to give them some). My women usually are tough cookies and not-cute-at-all. Weird is interesting.
I know i will go crazy with Inquisition CC before I decide it's time to be serious and play.
Looks is not what matters most. Right? ![]()

Attractive, but realistic. My canon warden had a huge jawline.
More then anything, however they need to have a distinct look. I can pick any of the companions from out of a crowd. If I can't do the same with my PC, I did something wrong.

Pretty sure most of us who clicked this thread will spend the first day of DAI only using the cc...playing the prologue...then go back to the CC cause the cheekbones are 1mm too low.

It's pretty hard for me to make attractive characters in Dragon Age games on account of them not allowing my PC's to have pink afros, harelips, unibrow or even buck teeth. Seriously guys, Bioware has some kind of vendetta against beauty, I swear.

Well attractiveness is all subjective but my human nobles crystal blue eyes , sandy blonde hair and pouty lips are gonna make Dorian swoon so that's good enough for me ! haha ![]()

Like what other people have said, I'll be looking at this guy for a long time so I'd better find him good looking. Usually I put the things that attract me the most: bedroom eyes, a defined jawline, awesome cheekbones. After that I just fiddle with the sliders until I find the right one.

Well, attractiveness is pretty subjective, but sure, I guess.
But I also take the character into account - since I'm creating a Dalish mage, it makes sense for her to have a scar or two. She lives out in the wild, roughing it. Whereas a Circle Mage is much more pristine and less practical.

Yeah, I'd say I try to make characters I find attractive (fairly subjective, though), particularly my main femHawke: a total red-headed beauty ![]()
