I generally make my characters what one would consider attractive, but not overly so. I like them to feel like they actually fit in that role, so like to add some scars and avoid flawless complexions (even moreso for males) and prefer not to use any makeup, or if I do, something that is minimal and barely noticeable (more to enhance the natural features).
How "attractive" you want to make your PC:s? How important is it?

I'll usually take a celebrity or a character from a different video game and try to design my character the same way, just with a different name, though sometimes, I'll change a few features such as hair colour or facial hair.

I always try to achieve something that I find 'beautiful' at that time and really fit the character I try to make. That means some sort of complexion, freckles, scars etc. I don't like overly smooth faces.. they don't tell a story so to speak

Deson't really matter to me, I'm hoping there is an option to make the PC look like they got beat with the ugly stick.

I usually go for a character that could be called attractive, but not 'cute' per se. I've had exceptions before, but I prefer them to look the part. I'd say my Warden was pretty, but I tried to get some rough edge to her at the same time. She was Dalish, so while she had attractive features I thought it would be best to beset that with some things fitting for someone who's lived outdoors her whole life, like a fairly nasty bear-claw shaped scar down the left side of her face via mods.
My most recent Hawke, post-act 2, meanwhile, I think was just a downright smexy mofo. Didn't really go for anything there. He was groomed and noble. :S
*cute*
I guess my female Qunari will follow a similar mindset as I had while making my Warden. Hence why I don't really mind the hairstyles tbh.
Cute face...hate the hair.
Don't blame me. Lebanese culture has shaped me to hate long hair on men and praise glorious stubbles.
Not complaining xD

I enjoyed the option in SWTOR of choosing a pretty face & then having burn scars on the entire left or right side. The character was still attractive, whilst having unattractive elements that told a story.
My main character is generally created in my image, though, so she's stunningly attractive with no flaws.

Whenever I've created a super ugly character I find myself getting bored of the joke, so I suppose I'll be going with reasonably attractive. That said though, on this:
Do you tend to make your RPG characters as attractive as possible with smooth young skin and perfect hair with no scars, frinkles, freckles and such or do you find such things details that you use to enrich your character?
I don't think all of those features are at odds with each other - a few scars or wrinkles can make the character more interesting-looking, and I think interesting has a huge role in attractiveness that a flawless character might be lacking.

My idea of attractive is not really in line with a lot of other peoples, but in general yes I always try to make my characters as attractive to me as possible.

my guys tend to look like me or my BF, and my women are either Mariska Hargitay or Kelly Rowland from Destiny's child, or a blend of the two.
I like strong women

I just want to get the eyes right. Making the eyes look not weird was a nightmare in Origins (for me anyways, idk why). It was always too far/big/small/close. Never just ok.
It was a lot better in DA2, since I find default Hawke good looking enough and didn't need to change anything.

I just make the characters decent looking with a few scars then and there. Doesn't make sense for them to have perfect face when they get their face punched in almost all day.

I want them to look unique and like they fit the voice. I also need them to be someone I can watch for the duration of the game.
None of my four Shepards were beauty queens, but none of them were ugly, either. I'd say they were about average.
I expect my Quizzes will be the same.

Come to think of it, all of my Wardens were reasonably attractive.
In DA2 I just rolled with the defaults because I think their faces fitted well with the defaults siblings looks. Female Hawke was attractive. The male model was ok but looked a bit old with his complexion and too much like Gamlen without his beard.

I like to make my charachter good looking . Although , I don't always succeed . Depand on the game and the CC avaible with the options .
I like to make ladies of all hair colors , and skin . I also love scars and Tattoo . If they are avaible , I put them on . Although I like to roleplay them , so for exemple in DAO only my dalish had a tattoo . In some other game , it goes further then just how they look..but what they wear too . ![]()

My characters have to be attractive enough for me to spend hours looking at them. But, they also have to look somewhat unique and interesting. I don't think most folks would call my avatars beauty queens though. I too, usually add some thing of myself into their appearance.

I prefer making them look to give off a certain feeling. I want a grizzled musclebound hardass? I shall make her and put every scar I can on her with a broken nose and some gray streaks in the hair and the sharpest eyes and meanest eyebrows I can.
I want a snooty mage? I try and put a high class and sourpuss face on them. Maybe a nice long nose for looking down at people. She shall have the beadiest eyes and any frowny mouth wrinkles I can give her.

Sometimes I like to do the opposite! Give them the snootiest face ever, and have them be a sweetheart. Or a really fun one was when I did the Orlesian Warden as the cutest little sweet faced dwarf---but she was a manipulative jerk!
Overall, I don't have any particular preference via HOTTIE/regular/uggo. I play with the CC until I find a face that's interesting to me--interesting because it's gorgeous or unique, or makes me think of particular traits, or people, or I'm like "ahahhahaa I can't wait for Alistair to call this old boat beautiful"

It depends. I plan on making my lady elf as pretty as I possibly can, to go along with her having access to the most romances (and elves being canonically super attractive to Thedosian humans). My human warrior will be more battle worn and scarred (broken nose!) and Brienne-of-Tarth-ish. My male qunari will definitely be devilishly handsome, for those who go for that sort of thing.
