Well I see a lot of support threads are poping up so, I have decided to post a support thread dedicated to Abtive (which I don't like or hate) So lets talk about Antiva! Hmm lets see its hot there, assasins techniclly are rulling the nation, hmm what more, they love a lot of alchol lol at least Zevran and thats it! What you have to say about Antiva? Therioes and lore of the past and bla bla bla etc.

Every land has boots, leather and prostitutes. And assassins, lets not forget that.

 

Antiva is a very fractious Kingdom, decentralized even. This is pretty par for the course in places with unstable leadership. The reason for this is the House of Crows, the Antivan Crows. As Guilds of Assassins go, their ability to intimidate the local authorities is testament to their rate of success. It also means that a powerful king is unlikely given the likelihood of assassination, which means that as a state Antiva is never going to be a particulalry big player on the world stage. Despite contrary readings that even the Qunari would not dare attack Antiva for fear of the Crows, it is apparent that Antiva was conquered almost as a footnote in the war. Antivan Noble families are apparently prominent, in fact Fergus Cousland's first wife was Antivan herself.

 

Josephine, our cheif diplomat in the Inquisition, will certainly shed new light on the state of Antiva in ways Zevran did not bother to elaborate.

Except for small, isolated villages in Ferelden, apparently.

Well, to be fair, the Haven cultists did occasionally murder people who strayed too close to the village. If one of the dead Redcliffe knights or another traveller had the boots ...

If we ever get to go to Antiva I hope we get an Antivan Crow background as a human option instead of just Human Noble.

Being from one of the Merchant families would be a real interesting twist on the Human Noble story though.
