Hi there!

I have been wondering if there is anyone that could suggest custom Haks that could fit the designing of an elf-themed kingdom?

Be it content for Tree-towns or actual marble/stone elven works, the goal is to find something that may give as much of an elven look as possible to maps.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance for reading!

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a lot; at least not in NWN2. Most of what I have seen is in the form of weapons or character haks. We could definitely do with more elven-themed placeables--especially architecture--and maybe a tileset or two...

Here's a tree platform and an elven statue. There's also an Elven temple courtyard prefab that might provide a few ideas.

I could really use some more elven architecture myself.  I expect I'll have to make most of it, but it wouldn't be this year.

There is a CTP Expanded Elven City Tileset available for NWN. (See CTS.) I haven't checked it to see what kind of quality it has and whether it would make a good porting project (to NWN2 placeables). But the permissions allow it.

Ed.: I checked the tileset, but to me it's mostly not worth the effort of porting.

I don't know any placeables, but there is a nice armor. However, after the old vault went down I'm out of links. I think it was called Elven Armor... or something. Brings up the feeling.

There is a set one the vault and in the cornucopia called dragonlance which you might want to look at and Elysius' work contains the elven statue that RJShae mentioned. There is also a mirror in there that could be Elven.

Dragonlance has large trees and high walkways as well as some houses you could use .... ?

Oh, and for clarity, the sort of things I'll be needing/making are things for sun elf/gold elf/grey elf cities (the marble ones the OP mentions), rather than the wood elf tree structures.

I'm afraid the architecture of Evermeet would probably be beyond my modeling skills at the moment, though.

Here's some links from the new vault that includes content for elven character building:

There are some NWN portrait packs with elven images that might make a nice porting project...

You could change the textures in my arid/desert pack and give things elven style texturing.

Gribo here,

If anyone can find and convert my NWN tiles to NWN2, I will appreciate it much, as I have lost my originals and have no time to recreate them.

I have some designs in the works for elven buildings inspired by BG2's Suldenaselar.

Perhaps you mean your Elven Treehouse Tileset included in the Shattered Kingdoms hakpack?

I look forward to seeing what you do with Suldenaselar. :)

Those look good. Thanks for the look.

I'd image one could probably assemble an elven BCK with lots of organic, arched parts, ornate columns and walls, and some marble textures.

Elf BCK would be a great thing for the community.

The pieces I make are building blocks, though the elven ones I have in mind won't be anywhere as systematic as BCK.

A possible approach could be to take a suitable building set, reskin it to give an ornate marble look, then add some add-on placeables like a marble cupola, dormer windows, elegant spiraling elven tower, elven chimneys, and so forth.

@tchos: out of curiosity, is there a nice set of pictures with similar elven architecture you're aiming for?

There is one nice full-colour illustration in the Cityscape D&D sourcebook that I'd take as primary inspiration, but illustrations are hard to come by.  There are a few illustrations (black and white line art) in the sourcebook The Complete Book of Elves, which are of the cities of the Grey Elves, the 2nd edition analogues to 3rd edition's Sun Elves.  There are also descriptions in the Forgotten Realms novels of elven cities like Cormanthor, which are in a style I'd like, notably in Elminster In Myth Drannor.

Edit: Actually, it turns out I had already saved a copy of the Cityscape illustration in my reference folder, so here it is:

And here's the B&W line art one from the Complete Book.  This one shows some exterior and interior architecture, some furniture, and a typical pet.
