I regret ME3 & Dragon Age 2

 

I got Skyrim free, so that was a double bonus!

Now, this might sound harsh, but I regret buying Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV. I didn't enjoy either at all and spent only a few hours playing both, gameplay is too tedious for my taste and I really disliked the protagonists.

L.A. Noire meanwhile is probably my favorite Rockstar game ever.

I regretted buying Titanfall.

 

To be perfectly honest, I'd have a PS4 instead right now had I not fallen for it, and I'd be saving for a X1 now.

 

I regretted buying Watch_Dogs, I could have bought the equivalent amount of money on indie games and still get more out of it.

 

 

I regret not buying Ar Tonelico, because I have to emulate it due to their rarity and being on PS2, and those games are good so I feel bad emulating them.

Regretted buying the Assassin's Creed games 1 to Revelations, Total War Shogun 2 and it's DLCs/Expansion, Splinter Cell Conviction, Civilization V, Borderlands and Titanfall.

 

Luckily I only paid full price for Conviction and CiV, the rest were Steam sales or in Titanfall's case from a cheap gamecode website.

 

 

 

Did obviously not regret buying any other games, which are too many to list. Will not go into a rant on why I regret buying those listed games, would probably get cut short from the forum due to post lenght limit anyway.

Yup, there's a lenght limit. It's fairly generous, though if I were to list and explain my various dislikes about those listed games in enough detail, I'd hit that lenght limit a couple times over.

 

CiV alone would fill an entire page's worth of dislikes.

Diablo 3 and Rome 2 are my biggest regrets. I felt like an idiot.

The game I didn't regret buying although I expected to was Mists of Pandaria. It's arguably the worst expansion for arena competition. Still I enjoyed it.

There's not a lot else coming to mind actually. I suppose I was probably quite careful with my gaming purchases after that.

I tend only buy games after they've come out and I've gotten the general idea of they're terrible or not, so I don't usually regret my purchases.

 

Although I probably would have regretted Diablo 3 if I had actually paid money for it.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, due to them releasing Ultimate later on
Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon, such a bad GBA game
SOCOM Confrontation, didn't pay much for it, but I didn't really find it fun.
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, couldn't get into it.
Resistance: Fall of Man, thought I could get into it, but that wasn't the case.

Funny story: a friend of mine bought both Mass Effect 3 and Street Fighter X Tekken on the day they came out, but he was so disappointed by both of them, he just let me have both games. It was really cool that he did that for me.

I too didn't enjoy GTA IV at all, but Red Dead Redemption was good

Final Fantasy X-2

 

Regret the grind to finish as well. One of the worst games I've ever played.

Spore & Crysis, they were the PC exclusives I bought after getting a new PC...
...and both were dissapointing, though Crysis was slightly less so.

From GoG that I regret:

I will NEVER regret getting DAO. I just got it on a whim (I was looking for a decent fantasy game and it had a dragon on the cover so I figured I'd get it) and I have loved it ever since (>.>) lol
