Its an older game, but I do not regret spending my money on the purchase of Starcraft 64 for (you guessed it) the Nintendo 64.
The graphics were (comparatively) sub par, the controls were a hassle, and there was no custom game modes to be had, but you know what? That was one of my favorite console RTS games.
I can't even begin to count the number of hours me and my friends spent playing that game split screen against the hard AI. I really wish Blizzard would make console version of Starcraft 2; complete with split screen; I would buy that in a heartbeat.
Just to p*ss off everyone:
GTA IV is the best PS3 game!
GTA IV on top & Mass Effect 2 on bottom!
I deeply regret these purchases.

The hell are you talking about? It's a ' play once every few weeks' kind of game. No one plays it 24/7.
Don't ever say that again.

Final Fantasy XIII for pc.
That **** is bad
LMAO forreal? You played it already?
I deeply regret these purchases.
- Dragon Age: Origins. Yes, you may murder me horribly, but open your mind for this: I didn't enjoy the gameplay. And don't tell me that the gameplay doesn't count, because gameplay is what I want from a game. The story is there to hold things together. It delivered very, very well on the history department. But I get bored to death when it comes to playing it.

Lmao I preordered it. First FF game. Man what the **** is this **** man?

Should have gone with a different one.
I was pretty excited about losing my virginity too, only to find out it was a dude named teddie that laughs at his own penis jokes in a back of a pick up on its way to mexico while I buy internet data through layaway that I got from blowing dudes for speed.
GTA IV on top & Mass Effect 2 on bottom!
Mass Effect 2 being 13th is actually quite an achievement.
I'm usually really careful with buys, but sometimes I **** up.
Regretted:
Rogue Warrior
Lost Planet
Duke Nukem Forever
Red Faction: Guerrilla(Not a bad game, I loved it on the 360, however I wasn't able to play it on the PC due DRM bullshit. 4USD down the hole.)
Dragon Age II: Signature Edition
Mass Effect 3
Stronghold 2
Risen 1&2
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic
Dead Rising(First game I got for the 360 back in 06)
Halo 4
Perfect Dark Zero
Xbox 360 S
Ultima IX
Daikatana
Didn't Regret:
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many to name!
But, Red Dead: Redemption for sure since I was on the fence about getting it and almost didn't, but **** am I glad I did.
Dragon Age 2, I already knew by the prerelease info I wasn´t going to like the gameplay (and it still went beyond my worst expectations), what I didn´t expect was writing to be so abysmal too.
On the opposite I have Deus Ex: Human Revolution, loved it, and it also made me leave behind ME3 ending.
I regret buying Assassins Creed and Titanfall.
I regret buying Drakensang 2. I've tried to play it on 4 different occassions but I can't work up the will to suffer its typical (horrible) D&D-like combat where you stand toe to toe with an enemy and miss 80% of your attacks. I kind of regret buying Baldur's Gate for the same reason, it's just too archaic for me. Same deal with NWN.
I don't regret buying Dragon Age: Origins. It made that type of RPG approachable for me since its stats and combat were closer to an MMO's which I was familiar with.

I regret buying Destiny, prob be the last fps game i ever buy if thats what to expect from them
I dont regret buying Dragon Age 2, i rather enjoyed the game, for me it was a step up from origins in gameplay
I'm usually really careful with buys, but sometimes I **** up.
Regretted:Daikatana
If you bought Daikatana when it first came out, I can kind of understand.
But if you bought it just to see how bad the game was, you deserved that one. ![]()
Only game I've hardly touched is God of War: Ascension, so I sort of regret picking it up.
I regret buying games that I don't feel like playing anymore because of poor gameplay, boring story/protagonist, awful AI or other problems. Those that come to mind: Alan Wake, Witcher 1, Drakengard 3, BioShock Infinite, State of Decay, Outlast, Dishonored, Tomb Raider, AC, Hard Reset, Darkness 2, Prototype, Divinity: Original Sin, Metro 2033, RE 4 (PC version), Shadow Warrior, both Darksiders games.
I don't regret buying Dark Souls games, TES games (thanks to mods), New Vegas, Saints Row games (atleast 2 and 4, 3 was kinda eh), AC 4 (despite the amount of those goddamn tailing instafail missions), Sleeping Dogs, The Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.

Open YOUR MIND for this: It's called "Turn-based combat"

Regret? Almost none. I research all prospective purchases meticulously, and adjust my expectations accordingly. Don't regret? I'm a PC gamer; always looking forward and having no regrets is a very useful quality to have.
That said, Dead Island and State of Decay come to mind as my regrets; the former is a Borderlands knock-off that's not even fun to play, while the latter is just needlessly complicated for a zombie survival game.

It is not turn-based. At least on the PS3 where I played it. Every battle would be: Press X on an enemy. Tediously watch. Occasionally use a power. Done.
This is all real time. I played turn based games. Civilization V for example, which I absolutely love. I can also have fun with turn-based strategy games. Origins just wasn't anything like that.
Sorry if I offended you in any way. I know there are some people out there who really liked the way the game played. But that wasn't me, More power to you if you liked it. I'm very happy that such a great game has a solid fanbase.

There's your problem. The Dragon Age games (at least until Inquisition, maybe) should never be played on anything other than a PC. You're right about one thing, though; it's not turn-based, but Baldur's Gate-style real-time combat with pause-and-order. I turned all the tactics nonsense off except for a few auto-casts, used the pause button liberally and micromanaged everything else. Had a blast.
Ah, so true. I think it would be playable if I felt like I had control.
''Uh, main character is attacking alright, oh wait, was Morinth supposed to be doing something? Let me switch. Wait, this is Alistair. Have I just used a health potion? What was the button? Did the Mabari just die? Wai--GAME OVER''
''Sigh''
