I'm playing DAO, reliving the glory days. Currently doing the Dalish quest now, and I helped Wynne ease her guilt with Aneirin. But, what stuck a hot needle in my heart (yeah yeah getting emotional over a game), when she asks my mage about what Aneirin says. About how she believes you'll bring greatness to the Circle, and all mages. She also believes, that she'll die before getting a chance to see that dream.

So, my question is thus..... :crying: Who's kinda glad Wynne does die before DA3, and won't see the shtick storm of Mage vs Templar vs demon war? It kinda hurt, she believes in greatness, only... it's not so great in DA3. Perhaps stupid question, but just wanted to know other's feelings.

Wynne died a death anyone would be proud of

To defend an innocent, a friend, a comrade, a person worthy of such a sacriface

Though I'm pretty sure she would be a darn good help in this turmoil

Oh, no doubt she'd be a massive help. Just, think the shock would be a bit much for her. Perhaps to the point she loses hope. She saves the Circle children, only to see a possible 3rd of them get slaughtered 10years later. I was sad, but glad she died a "good" death tho. But, now? I'm just a little more glad, tho cold it sounds.

Well technically she did see the war start so. But she died heroically.

I'm glad Wynne's dead, primarily so I don't have to listen to her explain what it really means to be Inquisitor, how I shouldn't be romancing [insert character here], and my choice in companions sucks.

Actually In Thedas the Warden in DAO far superior to you as the Inquisitor........ He has done and serve for more greater deeds than the Inquisitor.

Nobody is going to tell you what it is to be the Inquisitor... since there has never been one in history..

Just saying the Inquisitor is basically nobody till  he/she kinda "save the world" in DAI end-game.

Well, I think that's unlikely. She learned she was wrong, many times. About Aneiren, about who you romance, how to do your job. She just didn't want you to suffer from pain she's seen happen to others, herself included.

I liked her and I can't hate the fact that she's possessed by the spirit of faith; hence, always placing faith in others

It'd be nice.

Leliana: Wynne? Is this yours?

Wynne: Oh, my bag of components! Thank you, dear... I was wondering where it got to.

Leliana: You left it by the fire, at camp.

Wynne: Oh... yes, I remember now. How age creeps up on you, and brings with it forgetfulness...

Leliana: You're a great mage, Wynne, and you're sharper and wiser than many people I know. Some young ones, too.

Wynne: Ah, but you should have seen me fifteen, twenty years ago... the fires have dimmed somewhat since then. But thank you, Leliana... for picking up after this old lady.

Im pretty sure Wynne did not consider me an innocent, a friend, a comrade and a person of worth - as I defiled the ashes of Andraste and everything she stood for.
Im also pretty sure she was not proud from failing to deliver justice at my sacrilegious act, by dying from my axe - which cleaved her from shoulder to navel.

IMO she must have been grievously hurt in spirit, mind and body as blood leaked out of her and despair leaked in.

Spoiler

I liked Wynn . I didn't mind her complaining about who I romanced . I like peoples to have their own opinions instead of droids with no thoughts . And she mean well since....there was a Blight you know .

I was happy to see her in Awakening , made the game feel less bizzare.....

Like everyone above said , she had a heroic ending . And that's what every charachter could wish for in the end .

I think Chari means by innocent, and a friend. Was the dying Templar in Asunder. Wynne saves the Templar, by transferring her Faith/Life Spirit into them.

I'm glad the blighted hag is gone, though in a few of my games she died way back in the Ferelden Circle or at the ashes.

In response to what others said, I don't mind NPCs diagreeing with me so long as I can tell to F off and get lost

I'll agree too, she didn't die the way she stated to the Warden. I'll not die in bed, covers to my chin, waiting for death. If I should die, it's out here. :crying: Tho herotic, I still shed a tear or two. I was like " :o No..."

The Grey Warden in our party?
Kidnap Blackwall until he tells you all the stories he knows about griffons.
