Fiona and Adrian seem like the prime candidates from Asunder. Dunno how the blast will affect things though.

ugh those wretches need to be on the business end of a headsman's axe, not leading anything

They kinda put Rhys up on a pedestal at the end of the book, too. I'd say he's probably up there, leader of the largest fraternity and all.

I want to see him paraded through the orlesian capital and beheaded like the reference you provided.

You forgot the hanging, drawing and quartering before that.

My Prince-Consort Warden were I still playing him would covertly through various channels/intermediaries provide monetary support to the mages as well as valuable intel on Templar movements etc, and perhaps supply with as well with equiptment etc. Anything to help the mages win, then take actions to further drive a wedge between the Chantry and Templars. Anything to destroy long term Orlesian trans-national influence which would be in Fereldens interests after all.

Oh and he'd probably assassinate Fiona if shes not already dead if he felt somebody else could consolidate authority with not to much difficulty, Since lets face it she got hit hard with the stupid stick.
"Hai guyz lets rebel against the Templars and chantry lol" -Fiona
"...If we aren't going the push for reforms in the system route, and really are going to declare our independence from them shouldn't we...idk make some plans and form some alliances first?" -Random Mage
"Lol nah stuff that, we can just declare our independence in the middle of Val Royeaux, hope for the best then all meet up at the one place in Andorals reach" -Fiona

Anders with my mage Hawke and of course my mage Inquisitor. We shall crush the templars, like we did before in Kirkwall.

Hmm yeah this is probably true. Cole may not be a good party member choice for pro-templar playthroughs.

Nah it just seemed a tad excessive.

I can see Vivivienne and maybe Dorian

Vivienne is pro circle. So I imagine shes the only mage I will be getting along with.

I hope it's Adrian, it will make it easier to seek her out on the battlefield. My Inquisitor will be the last thing she ever sees upon Thedas.

I'm unsure what I will do. It honestly depends how each group behaves; I think I will judge on a case basis. The are good and bad in both factions, so I would rather save the sane ones and eliminate off the nutters in both camps. If the option existed, I would prefer a negotiated middle ground, but if I have to choose one side, I will most likely side the mages. I cannot support a system than punishes people for simply existing.

Remember the big flaming skull made of exploded cars in the Punisher movie ? My banner will be this but with a mage symbol and piles of templar corpses :P

I think Allistar's voice actor said in a tweet if he was king then he would support the mages.

Damnnit  I put Anora on the throne. Anora is most likely going to support the Templars.

Dont worry use the da keep to fix some small mistakes ;)

I always had alistair as a king and sometimes my female mage warden was his Queen. Thanks to mods i was a highborn mage Queen and then the Warden Commander.

I want to support the person who is most capable of leading the country and stopping things from going to absolute hell.

I'd like to start this out by saying there will be spoilers in this post so, if you haven't read the Dragon age novel "Asunder" by One of Dragon Age's lead writers David Gaider Then I implore you go and read it. It explains what happens after Kirkwall and has a lot of great info I believe is extremely important  before playing Inquisition.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!

I think it would be hard for Ferelden or Orlais to take sides in the Mage/Templar conflict. Ferelden is under attack by the demons and Orlais is in Civil war as a rebel count is looking to take control of the country from the Empress. If you read the book it gives a really great description of both side of the mage/Templar conflict.

One thing you should know is that the Templars are no longer associated with the chantry. One of the Templar seekers ended that arrangement when the Chantry's divine takes the mage's side. Although technically they are no longer a part of the chantry some Templars still work with the chantry regardless of the seeker's choice.

Another thing of note is that many First enchanters of many circles were killed without provocation by the same seeker. The mages that broke away are not blood mages and have gathered at an abandoned tevinter fort.

I personally will raise my banner for the mages. Because they are treated horribly by Templars.

In conclusion if you haven't read the book you really should. It even has wynne and shale in it and gives you an introduction to cole.
