Has anyone else noticed the emblem of the Blood Pack clearly consists of a human fist and human skull? A little odd for a gang consisting only of Krogan and Vorcha. Anyone have an imaginative thought about this beyond it being a simple oversight?

Good point. It's most likely an oversight, though it may be tied to how a small vorcha gang became a mercenary legion... Codex states that "Leading the vorcha pack as a pirate crew, Wrang cultivated recruits and infamy for a decade", maybe they killed quite a lot of humans back then...

Or perhaps, some Batarian tried to do the same as Wrang did and united those vorcha under this banner of a Batarian fist crushing human skull. Then Wrang came and killed the Batarian gaining control of the vorcha. He kept the logo since it was already becoming known and he didn't want to start for a scratch

Random mook: Heyyy, cool armor! What's your symbol supposed to be anyway?

Bloodpack Krogan: We are the Bloodpack!

Mook: Yeah... yeah, I got that, but what is the symbol?

Krogan: It is a skull!

Mook: A skull, huh? Cool. Who's skull is it? 

Krogan: *sigh* Yours if you don't shut up.

Mook: Hey, whoa now, don't get upset big guy! I think it's awesome, I just don't know what it is. 

Bloodpack Vorcha: Graaaargh! Krogan skull for krogan leader!

Mook: Krogan, eh? Doesn't look much like a krogan.

Krogan: How the hell would you know?

Mook: See, that's my point! You need something people will recognize.

Krogan: Hmm... think you're smart, what would you suggest?

Mook: Oh, uh, jeez... well... how about a human skull? Lots of humans out here in the Terminus. Can't stand the council putting all their laws on us, you know? 

Krogan: You're not kidding. A human skull, eh?

Mook: Oh yeah! That'll get people shaking in their boots. Guaranteed, my friend.

Krogan: Excellent suggestion. You, kill him.

Vorcha: Graaaargh! You die now! 

Mook: Wait.. what?

Vorcha *incinerates mook, gives skull to krogan*

Krogan *inspects skull*: For a human, he wasn't so dumb after all. We can use this.
