For those asking dual core - one of the min-specish dual core workstations I have does indeed run the game, and not too terribly. I haven't played all that far though, and I'm not sure if we'd officially support it, so your mileage may vary.

It's a Xeon 5150 2.66GHz, with an 8800GTX (512mb), 4GB RAM.

Glad to see ytou folks never stop testing things.

Any chance of screenshots taken from min-specish systems?  If they've already been posted, sorry; please just point me in their direction.  :)

So, I looked up desktops and wondering whether this system would be adequate?

Processor: Intel© Quad Core™ i7-4790 (8M Cache, 3.6 GHz)

Operating System: Windows 8.1

1TB Hard Disk with additional 256GB SSD

Memory: 16GB DDR3 1333Mhz

Graphics : nVidia GTX770 2Gb

OS : Windows 7 Premium 64 Bit
CPU : Intel® Core i3-2100 CPU @ 3.1GHz
RAM : 8.00 GB
GPU : GeForce GT 630 2GB

Not the most savvy when it comes to these stuff. Would I be able to at least swing mid range without upgrading (the GPU probably needs to be done innit)?

Well, dammit it all then.

GPU upgrade imminent I guess, lol.

Thanks for the swift reply guys, cheers.

If your GT 630 is the Kepler card (and not the GT 630 D3 or G5) then it is above the minimum spec 8800 GT.

However having said that, medium settings may still be an issue for your card depending on what resolution you plan to play at.

I guess it's time to break out the puppy eyes so I can play on high settings by Christmas.

My PC specs is close to recommended

i5 2500K  quad core overclocked to 4.4Ghz

8GB RAM

2GB  MSI  560Ti factory overclocked card

Windows 8.1 Pro x64.

Gaming at 1080P

I was going to upgrade video card but might leave that now to  next year around Witcher 3 release date ,more choices available by then.

Anyway looks like I'm good to go.

This system will be able to run DAI relatively comfortably.

I suspect you could probably run a mix of medium and high settings (barring any demanding AA settings) at 1080p with a fairly smooth frame rate.

CPU is a little low on speed, but otherwise OK. RAM is OK. You need to be more specific with the graphics card.

You are technically below the CPU requirements of an AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz. Doesn't mean it won't work though because clock speed isn't everything.

You haven't listed your graphics adapter model number but I suspect it is an 8500 or 8600 series. Is it an HP or Toshiba?

Edit: I see it is the HP. Do you know if it's an 8600 series or R7 M260 GPU?

Hello! I'm not very good at this stuff either, so I was wondering where I'll be at in terms of graphics settings with my current rig:

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
RAM: 8 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7800

And any suggestions for areas to upgrade would be welcome!!

Thanks very much!! Can you tell me how/where I can find more specific info to tell you about my graphics card. I just copied what I found under "System". Thanks Again !! :)

I like the interface, though I think the ability to adjust it's scale would be nice. If not, I won't be too upset... You can have the whole UI auto-hide when you are out of combat anyway.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking as I watched.

Devs, will there be an ability to adjust the size of the UI elements so they don't take up too much screen real estate.  Like that "Regions Discovered" section in the upper right.  Will we be able to size that down a bit, or disable it?

With graphics like this, the less clutter, the better.

i assume you wont have that much fun with your 560ti. it may has 2GB VRAM, but it´s still a 560ti. the 660 already is about 35% faster.

Phew, my PC beats all the minimum specs and that's good enough for me. I didn't feel like dropping money for upgrades when I plan on buying a new PC next year.

I don't think we've posted/released any, and I think chances for doing so are pretty low. Have we released any gen3 screens/vids? (not actually sure) If so, they might perhaps be a close comparison?

You could also send a tweet to someone on marketing and ask if they have any plans like that.

You should have a function "device manager" under control panel/system, where the graphics card is listed. Not sure how that works in Windows 8, though. My new system hasn't arrived yet.

I nearly hit the recommended settings! Only place I miss a bit is my 580 only has 1.5GB VRAM. But if that is recommended for max 4K resolution, I should be fine on my 1080p monitor!

The only thing I need to figure out is what Intel's Iris 5100 graphics chipset equals in AMD numbers-- I think I have everything else covered. Using a late-2013 MacBook Pro 13" mid-range model running Windows 7 64 Bit via bootcamp.

Could run most everything I threw at it without problems (Skyrim on high, Far Cry 3 on straight medium settings), except Witcher 2, because Witcher 2 is a behemoth.
