This is what i'm planning on buying--Game Debate says it should be fine on medium-high but I just wanted to check:

-  NVIDIA GTX 750 1GB
- Intel Core i3 4350 CPU
- 8GB 1600MHz Memory
- 500GB 7200RPM HDD
- ASUS H81 Chipset Motherboard
- 430W Corsair CX Power Supply
- DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW
- Microsoft Windows 8.1

You should definitely be able to play on medium settings. Anything beyond that and you'll likely to see your performance drop. Your CPU, GPU and even your power supply are a bit on the low side.

Oh dear. I'm worried about this "Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz" thing. I have a Q8200, but 2.3 GHz on that are nothing next to a 2.0 GHz Haswell. Also: Radeon 4850  I hope I'll be able to scrape by.

Geez I can meet the 'recommended' specs with a 2 year old system that was considered mid-range when it was new.  I want to see what's req for the 'ultra' specs.

Hello fellow BSNers!

I am a complete dummy at PC specifications so I would love if someone could tell me how my PC would run DA:I

I have:

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660

Intel-Core i5-4440 CPU 310GHz

Windows 8 64 bit

8 GIGABYTES RAM

Thanks for the feedback in advance!

That is literally part for part the Minimum Spec.  You should be able to run it no problem, s long as your display resolution is 1080p or less.

Edit:  Sorry, I misread.  this is part for part the exact spec for the Recommended, not the minimum.  You should be fine at default (but not Ultra) settings.

Hopefully, everyone takes particular notice of the 64-bit Windows..    The days of gaming on 32-bit OS's is over.    I think this is the one that is going to trip up a lot of people who haven't been bothering to get a 64 bit OS.

It is at least what I tend to notice people complaining about in other games releases when their system is 'fine', but the game isn't running correctly.

Very good point.

The Golden Age!

Thanks Again!! Upgrading is a possibility any suggestions? I like Laptops for the convenience not sure how much of a difference that makes VS desktop.

Upgrading is difficult, especially on a prebuilt laptop like HP. There isn't a huge market for laptop components like there is for desktop components so even if you could, the components would be very expensive and possibly dangerous (e.g. do you have adequate cooling if you could fit a custom GPU). I have a laptop myself and I haven't even contemplated upgrading it because it is so bad. The exception is RAM.

Finding a decent cheap powerful laptop is like finding the cheap wine. Good cheap wines do exist but you're going to have to go through many bottles to find them. Luckily with laptops you can just write down their specs and prices, and then compare them. I've always had good deals with Acer, 3 of my past gaming laptops have been Acers. My current is a Dell from the Dell Outlet but they come and go really quickly.

the gtx750ti has ~85% of the 660´s performance, so yes, i assume you need a more powerful card for high settings, but that also depends on the resolution you use.

I usually play on a 1920x1080 resolution so I think I'll just hold on to my card for now and get the 660 eventually.

Id rather not wait any longer than I have to to play DAI

Considering the specs are identical to BF4, I'd assume the specs needed for ultra settings will also be identical. Really, a better GPU is all you'd likely need with perhaps more than 8GB of RAM. That being said, DAI also won't nearly be as demanding of your system due to not having to worry about having 64 players rendered on the screen, all the vehicles, explosions, levolution, etc.

great card, you cant go wrong with it. should have about twice the performance of your 570.

Yeah my only concern is my power supply and I have no idea wtf I'm doing XD I don't think it has the pins I need though. It's a Corsair TX 750 and I rather not have something go horribly wrong when I'm trying to replace my card =/

So I'd probably have to replace both =/

I'm glad to see my decision to prioritize the CPU (for school/work) over the GPU in my new rig isn't going to bite me in the ass. I'm sailing just over recommended with an R9 280.

I'm still tempted to bump up to a GTX 970 or 980 next semester, but I'll be happy with what I have for now.

Basically right on the money for recommended, again with the caveat that recommendations usually don't take into account if you want to run super high resolutions (genereally assume 1920x1080).

I got buried. :P Just looking to see what people more savvy than me think I could get out of my system. (Since I have no idea what the recommended specs are based on)

OS : Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU : Intel® Core i7-4810MQ CPU @ 2.8GHz
RAM : 8.00 GB
GPU : Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M 6GB

You have to specify what GPU it has (is it a model with only the Intel integrated graphics?) and the amount of system RAM. (You can get system details from About This Mac by clicking on the More Info button.)

If it's a dual GPU system and you have at least 4GB of RAM, I can't imagine it won't run, though you may need to play at lower settings.

GeForce GT 650M

Intel Core i7-3720QM CPU @ 2.6 GHz

8 GBytes of RAM

2880x1800 Native Resolution

Windows 8.1

I couldn't post the precise stats before cause I was away from my computer.

your PSU is far oversized. it should have 4 6+2pin PCIe connectors, so you can use the 970 with it.

I'm still tempted to bump up to a GTX 970 or 980 next semester, but I'll be happy with what I have for now.

go for the 970, the 980 is ~15% faster but ~60% more expensive.

I thought the 970 needed a 8pin? (see this is why I'm confused) does a 6+2 pin count as a 8pin?

Yes, you'll be able to play the game at 1920x1080, likely at medium (or at least medium-low) settings.

I would love a dev comment on whether recommended actually lets you run at max settings with 1080p or not--and with a decent framerate.

i7-3610QM @2.3GHz

GTX 660M (2 Gb DDR5)

8 Gb RAM

Windows 7 64bit

Hopefully it'll handle the game at low-medium settings. 1080p is most definitely not an option if I want to maintain framerate. It will probably be a bit jarring when i'm switching from my desktop to this laptop when away from home.

That power supply is absolutely fine, remember the 9xx cards are actually less power hungry than the previous generation, possibly for the first time in recorded history.

So, PC experts, can you tell me if I can run it on the highest settings?

Intel Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB
Windows 7 64bit

I have the same CPU and video card as you, but I'm on Windows 8 and I have 16gb RAM. You should be fine.

it does.

I was worried because I was told there was a different power draw so I thought it'd be best if I got another PSU.

But okay :D I can buy the 970 with no worries now.
