I usually play on a 1920x1080 resolution so I think I'll just hold on to my card for now and get the 660 eventually.
go for a better card, upgrading for ~20% is a waste of money.

I would love a dev comment on whether recommended actually lets you run at max settings with 1080p or not--and with a decent framerate.
Those stats will almost certainly come out closer to release from sites like DSOGaming as they send out review copies. Though if Devs like Barrett continue to experiment and post reports, even better.
Just checking in to bemoan the fact that my potato-pc won't be able to run this game. I don't have the monies to upgrade either
I wish all of you with shiny pcs lots of fun with DA:I though. I got a feeling this is going to be a great game.
Hello fellow BSNers my laptop specs are
Win 7 Home Premimum
Intel Core i3-2330M
64 Bit
CPU 2.20
RAM 6 GB
OS 414 free of 581
Intel Graphics
An Intel graphics won't cut it.
My CPU and RAM meet the recommended specs, but my GPU is only slightly better than the minimum specs. Hmm. So I'm sure I'll be able to run the game but not at max settings. Ah well, this will just motivate me to eventually upgrade my computer.

I dunno, it will depend on which intel integrated graphics chipset your laptop has. The Duo core processor is a major issue as well. You might be able to get by with low frame rates on absolute minimum settings.
BUT, I still wouldn't recommend playing DAI on this laptop at all, as it'll probably overheat to the point of damage before you can even say "OMG! It works on my laptop!" I had that experience 5 years ago with Dragon Age Origins on my absolutely ancient laptop.
For those wishing to upgrade don't jump on the GOTTA BUY IT NOW bandwagon. 10 days after US release will be Black Friday followed by Cyber Monday. Then buy to your wallet's content.

it shouldn´t get damaged by overheating, worst thing to happen should be a "Bluescreen of Death", but more likley a simple shutdown. nevertheless i wouldnt recommend to play DA:I on this notebook either. the HD3000 is... very crappy and not made to play any newer games.
Got a bit buried.
What do more knowledgable BSN'er think?
My specs are:
AMD Athlon II x3 455 3.3Ghz (so triple not quad core)
Nvidia GeForce G630 4GB
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit

horrible to read with the dark forum skin.
the GPU is low-end and not made for real gaming, but should be enough for low settings. but i really don´t know if the game will accept your 3core CPU.

My main workstation is only a 7850 of some kind (it's a weird Dellbox), but I make a point to try run close to fully maxed (I usually drop heavy performance hitters like AA down and such). 1080p, runs fine. I use non-retail binaries, so it's tough to compare what it'll be like with all the debug noise stripped out.
I got buried.
Just looking to see what people more savvy than me think I could get out of my system. (Since I have no idea what the recommended specs are based on)
OS : Windows 8.1 64-bit
CPU : Intel® Core i7-4810MQ CPU @ 2.8GHz
RAM : 8.00 GB
GPU : Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M 6GB
Looks alright to me. Just keep pushing the graphics settings until you can't stand the stuttering.

the 870M is very similar to the desktop 660ti which is ~20% faster than the 660 non-ti. i guess it will be a bit faster than the 660, cause compared to the 660ti (same chip as the 870M, and both 1344 ALUs) both core- and memory-clock are a bit lower.
your CPU is very good.
Recommended:
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
CPU: AMD six core CPU @ 3.2 GHz, Intel quad core CPU @ 3.0 GHz
System RAM: 8 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7870 or R9 270, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Graphics Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 26 GB
DirectX 11
Or, if you're playing on a slightly older setup, here are the minimum system requirements:
Minimum:
OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit
CPU: AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz, Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz
System RAM: 4 GB
Graphics CARD: AMD Radeon HD 4870, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Graphics Memory: 512 MB
Hard Drive: 26 GB
DirectX 10
Minor error on my part when we sent this information off.
The Recommended specs should have said 2 GB of video card memory.

As this is a family show: Jackson Pollucks!
Maybe worth a shot though.

Yay, always makes me feel better to be above the recommended rather than right on it. ![]()

It turns out I fit all of the recommended specs.
People, please.. do not look too far into specs. They are recommended, but for anyone who has played PC games, they are only a suggestion.
Many many games will play fine using hardware lesser than that of the recommended spec.
And even then, we're talking a game here. If you have 8gb ram, a decent 3-4core CPU, you'll be fine.. your GPU is what's most important and anyone with around a 7970/660gtx and above will play this just fine, I'm sure.

Glad to see the specs but I still hope for the day mobile video cards are included in the lists /sigh
Thanks guys
Now to look at either 360 or PS4......
I have the saves on my 360, but PS4 1080p......mmmmmm

Yep, Yep, Yep.
Any thoughts on Nvidia Quadro K2000M (2GB)? Overall, my gaming laptop has aged well, but I'm not sure about the GPU.
Yes, you'll be able to play the game at 1920x1080, likely at medium (or at least medium-low) settings.
Thanks.

If you are playing on PC, I suggestommend you use a PC.
Toaster support might be patched in later.
