Can I ask you a question, guys?
Does it support Windows 7 32 bit as this point seems to be unclear in system spec page.
Thanks
I'm not sure but I assume so for the minimum requirements, especially since it also says 4GB of RAM.

Hmm, I have a feeling I may need to tone down some graphic settings to run this smoothly on my 1440p screen.

Unfortunately, I'm in Australia, so any of those decent cards are priced around $300-$400 price range. Not a big deal, it'd just be nicer if they were cheaper
to be fair you do meet the min spec. but you should be able to buy a 7xx series card for sub 400 dollars (or a 970 for about 500). largely depending where you live and thus where you buy from (MSY, pcasegear etc)
I'm having no luck finding confirmation through my searching of the forum..
Am I right to assume that 32bit Windows 7 is going to be a problem simply because it's 32bit? Forget the RAM issue for the moment. ![]()
Thanks.
Way ahead on the CPU front, but games are closing in on my GPU...
Recommended should be a doodle, provided the optimization isn't abysmal *cough*NFS Rivals*cough*, might even be able to push some settings in ultra, but completly maxed will be for way better rigs than mine.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
i5 4670k @3.4GHz (4 CPUs)
8GB RAM
GTX 770, 2GB VRAM
1080p resolution and 60fps is my goal.
Can I max maybe??
Yes. If you must use AA, use x2.
I believe those results are specifically for the 13" model with integrated graphics.
You're right of course. So my laptop is more than good enough.
Since I'm totally not familiar with hardware and things like that. How those minimum requirements compare to games such as BF4 or Shadow of Mordor ? (Because I can run those games on my laptop
)

The minimum specs mention a 64bit OS, so 32bit is explicitly not supported. That doesn't *necessarily* mean DAI won't run on 32bit, but I consider it very likely. And if so, it will be a hard "not run at all" rather than just being slower.

I was about to suggest you do that, but you should be fine. The only way you'll know for sure is if you experiement with it once you get your hands on the game.
There must be differences, but I have no idea how big they are or which pieces of code those would be found in. AMD doesn't support Windows 8.0 any longer and tell their users to upgrade to 8.1 if they want AMD's drivers to work, and I'm using a client's archaic in-house remote assistance system which still doesn't run on 8.1 for whatever unknown reason (there is absolutely no frustration laden within this sentence. no sir, there is notKnow if any of the core architecture of .0 was changed significantly for .1? I hear the UX was changed to make it feel more traditional/familiar desktop, but I haven't heard whether it's actually all that different under the hood. As such, I couldn't think of much reason why DAI wouldn't run just fine on 8.0.
After the GTX 970, your system will be very similar to mine (slightly faster, in fact). When I went from my 560Ti to a GTX 970, my framerates in Battlefield 4 changed from a ~20-40 on medium settings to an almost constant 60 on ultra (didn't try enabling all the fancy pants settings the nVidia software comes with though, I only maxed out the game's settings themselves). It drops to ~55 now and then when it gets crowded, but it's mostly glued to 60 with VSync on.Take it I will be good for some ultra level graphics after my upgrade to an 970?

I would guess not, sadly. The way I read it, it requires Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 both in 64bit. I could be reading it wrong, but I don't think so. Further confirmation from a developer would be welcome, I imagine. Can I ask you a question, guys?

Can I run ultra at 60fps? Worried about my CPU....
^ I second that but to be fair, these future GPUs are yet to be announced and it's always best to wait a little before jumping on the new cards train.
But yes upgrading from a 770 to a 970 seems a bit overkill.
@BloodyTalon: At worse, I'm not sure you will be able to see the difference between Ultra and slightly tweaked High settings TBH. Unless you intend to run the game at max with a very high resolution (1440 for example). I would test the game with your current setup (which is already good ) and then decide if it's to your liking but that's just me.
Try to play games at 1600x1200 or 1200x or 1280 x 960 or between those depending on things.

you have a K CPU -> overclock it and you shouldnt have to worry about anything. but even without OC it is a very powerful CPU.
Whoops. That's the second time in this thread I've screwed up a GPU model number. *edits original post*i´ve never heard of a 580ti. do you mean the 560ti?

With 32-bit, programmes can only use 3.2 GB of RAM max irrespective of your total RAM.
Just go here and download the correct 64 bit version of Win 7 and then follow a guide on how to reinstall Windows.

Yeah, I'm quite happy that everything meets the recommended bar the GPU, so I don't particularly need to upgrade. The 560 TI has done me quite well in during the last 3 years and plays Rome2 on mostly max settings pretty well (considering the amount of men, horses, siege units and what not that can be on the field). I only ever experience lag or stuttering in walled sieges, but I think that has more to do with badly optimised sieges than my card.
While a 970 would be nice, I'm not willing to spend $500 on something that is a relatively small update. Going with something from the 7xx series makes a lot more sense for me. I did a little bit of research and have seemingly found a 760 for sub $300 mark, which seems decent enough. This doesn't include postage as I live in the arse end of Australia (but a beautiful countryside with plenty of views overlooking the sea) which will probably bring up the cost a bit.
Anyway, thanks for the help Unato and Scoobydooby, it is muchly appreciated.
My laptop meets the recommended requirements, apart from the CPU one (mine is an Intel Core i7-4712MQ Processor (6M Cache, 2,30GHz) Quad Core).

the 970 has about 250% of the 560ti´s power. "relatively small"?!? the 760 has ~160% of the 560ti´s power, to me this seems like a worse deal compared to the 970. how expensive would a 770 be? would be twice as powerful as the 560ti.

I never even heard of this turbo boost techonology until I saw your post and looked it up, thanks!
As for the GPU, it's a NVIDIA GeForce 840M 2 GB.

thats what i already thought. the GT840M is below the recommended specs. i guess its power is comparable to the desktop GTX650ti, maybe a bit slower, but the GTX660 is ~50% faster than the GTX650ti.
Minor error on my part when we sent this information off.
The Recommended specs should have said 2 GB of video card memory.
Thank you very much Mr. French. Now I know for sure that I'll play with the highest quality possible.
My 660GTX seems to be good ennough for Ultra settings.
i dont think so. the "recommended" specs are usually not enough for the highest settings. i guess you´ll need at least a GTX770/780 for ultra settings @ FHD @ 60fps
I have one gripe that the characters icon on the left and the health bars are too huge that i find them distractive. Is there an option to scale the UI ala Divinity Original Sins has it?
These big UIs are good for TV and if you play from a far. But i play using a PC monitor so it would be great if they have UI scaling. Thanks
