The one hard difference is that BF4 runs on 32-bit Windows -- even Vista. But DA:I requires 64-bit Windows -- and supported only on 7 and 8.1. The other differences are fuzzier: BF4 minimum CPU is dual-core, while DA:I is quad-core. Graphics card requirements are about the same.
So if you're playing BF4 on 32-bit Vista with a dual-core CPU and low-end GPU, then the answer is no.
64-bit Vista, dual-core, low-end GPU: probably not.
64-bit Windows 7, quad-core, low-end GPU: yes.

Question I am gonna buy the inquisitors edition for the PS4 when it comes out, but I am planning to buy it later on for the PC as well (normal version), so I wanted to ask is the DLC i get for the PS4 gets transfered to the PC? any ideas?
Or do i have to buy the deluxe again??
I had a heart attack when I was looking up the CPUs for those Macs and saw the prices they charge. As with all integrated graphics you are skating on thin ice. Here are some benchmarks. Scroll down to BF4 and make a judgement for yourself whether you would find ~25-30 fps and ultra-low graphics acceptable or not. I'm not sure how much customisability there will be in the graphics options, but you might be able to do what this guy did, but bear in mind this guy had a desktop quad core i7-3770 to compensate for his lack of dedicated GPU, whereas you most likely have a mobile dual core i5.
Thanks for your reply! I don't seem to have much choice, but in any case it will be a temporary solution until I am able to run the game on my PC. I'm just hoping that I'll be able to play DA:I on the lowest settings, since I'll probably explode if I'll have to wait for two freaking months!

I think a Bioware rep will have to answer this one. My guess is that the DLC won't transfer.

Quite sure that DLC/promo item redemptions are restricted per platform I'm afraid.
Intel® Core i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz i just found it in my pc specs
a dualcore normally can be said to be at the low end of the spectrum.
depends what laptop but if you play BF4 you then can play dai.
Normally a single player game requries less from the hardware vs multiplayer games due to the cpu dont need to be high end.
its often more of a case if the GPU has the support required and also the 64 bit OS.

Huh gonna buy it twice then thx for the reply buddy ![]()
I've just recently had to RMA my ASUS Maximus 6 Hero motherboard because it's crapping out due to a single (or perhaps multiple ) defective RAM slot(s). For all the ASUS products (several GPUs and at least 4 other motherboards) that I've had over the past 3 years, I've had various problems with every single one of them and the Customer Service is utterly appalling to say the least. the good ol' fashion values of Quality and Reliability which ASUS used to be world-renowned for have fallen to being utterly dismal and non-existent; therefore I have finally thrown in the towel and decided to switch brands. I've done a lot of research and talked to many employees both at CanadaComputers and NCIX and every one of them has said in effect "in terms of long term quality and reliability the two best brands on the market are EVGA and Gigabyte."
I've always wanted an EVGA motherboard, but until recently was never able to be in the money-bracket as it were, in order to afford their prices. I'm also considering Gigabyte because I have heard many good things about them. But, as I have never actually owned any products from Gigabyte and have only heard other peoples' opinions based on their experience, I'm torn because from what I can see Gigabyte is either dirt-cheap or stupidly expensive (in terms of their price ranges). Boards as low as 50, 80, or129 to 200ish.....But then they have one or two models that are 349.00 or more. So it seems as though the 'choice' is limited in terms of finding a motherboard that matches *your* particular CPUs socket etc. I am searching for a board (preferabily with the Z97 chipset, or even the 87...that will support an Intel 4770 with the 1150 socket.
In other words, the gigabyte boards that I'm looking at are as follows:
1) the Z97X-Gaming GT model (CanadaComputers price: 249.99; on sale for 229)
2) the Z97X-SOC (Canada Computers price 199.99)
I've looked around for the higher-end Gaming 7 and 9 Series boards but can't find any...anywhere.
I don't know anything about the quality of Gigabyte or how 'good' either of those boards are (I don't care so much about 'fancy' features like OC'ing, as much as I do quality of build, lifespan, and reliability).
As mentioned about I'm also looking at motherboards from EVGA; in fact have already put in an order for the Z97 FTW motherboard.....My problem is I'm not sure I will get it because it is on back order from EVGA. The other board I am seriously considering from EVGA is the Z97 Classified.
So.....my question is for the four motherboard models and their respective manufacturers....does anyone have any insight as to which company, model and/or individual motherboard has the best Quality? Personally, from previous experience with other products from EVGA in the past I am inclined to first lean towards EVGA....But if anyone has any serious experience and good advice regarding Gigabyte then I will consider them as my second choice if I can't obtain a motherboard from EVGA and need a backup option, and I would gladly accept assistance in this matter.
Many Thanks.
Imo you should never spend that much money on a motherboard, unless you really need to, which you probably don't.
Just get something like this, that's more than sufficient.
Obviously you could find it cheaper, just wanted it to be consistent with the prices you posted.

Thank you for your quick reply. I will definitely consider your advice and the model you have shown me as an option. I take it then, that you would recommend Gigabyte over EVGA? I've just recently spoken to a technician from Tiger Direct and in his opinion, he would recommend Gigabyte because "when building the frame/PCB of the motherboard from the ground up, they (Gigabyte) layer it with 10k gold, which not only helps add stability and strength to the structure of the board itself, but also facilitates better conduction of electricity. And in general just improves the lifespan of the motherboard."
Now I'm really caught between a rock and a hard place....I'm beginning to feel as though I've jumped the gun yet again.....Let's hope I don't regret the purchase of the FTW from EVGA should it arrive......
Thank you again for your response.
I'd say that GIGABYTE is superior, yes, but I really doubt you will regret the purchase. EVGAs are by no means bad, just really pricey.
If you get the chance (f.i. because of an order cancellation) you should consider other and cheaper options.
And no problem, you're welcome.
Will we have to be online to play single player? Also will Origin have to be running?

Hello, Osena. I'm glad to hear that you have echoed my original enthusiasm for EVGA and I am also glad to hear that you have had many repeated successes with their brand of motherboard....It gives testimony to their quality and customer service base when there is talk from repeat customers who have been happy with their products.
I have had the same experience with their GPUs over the years, which is why I see no reason why they would put any less quality of workmanship into their motherboards. But I am curious to know why you believe them to be so good? What has your experience been having had so many boards? Was it the quality of a particular part (ie the chokes or the cpu socket)? Was it the strength it the qaulity and resilience of their features? OR was it just the good ol' fashion value of long-lasting, tough durability that you found to be most appealing?
Thanks again

One reason to get an expensive motherboard is if you don't plan to fully replace your computer for a long time, and you want it to be relatively future proof. Motherboards and CPUs are the most annoying components to replace.
I recently got a Gigabyte Gaming 7, and so far I'm happy with it. The BIOS has tonnes of options for overclocking and such.
Thank you to all who have replied to my posts over the past two days, but alas...much to my disappointment, I have been saddled with yet another ASUS motherboard (exactly identical to my original board; a Maximus VI HERO, which as far as I'm concerned is an over-priced piece of junk). I was really not counting on ASUS delivering the replacement so soon....it's only been a week- speed like that is not in their reputation. And, I was really hoping that they would take at least another week or two so that I could be justified in saying "NUTS to Asus!...I'm gonna go buy another brand, even if I have to spend more of my own money" ; and those brands of choice were, as I have mentioned before EVGA or Gigabyte.
But this time around I swear I'm counting down the days until this board even begins to give me the slightest hint of trouble-- and then I'm pitching it right in the garbage where it belongs.
But on the bright side I'll have my fully-stocked rig back up and running in time for Inquisition.......Maybe I'll buy another board sometime next year
Thanks again to everyone for their responses.....and Happy Gaming. ![]()
This is why I haven't bought an Asus component for a long time now.
Gigabyte is what I usually go with lately.

Thank you for asking i had my frist pc built back in 2008 i7 920 i had issue after issue with the mobo it was asus sabertooth x58 after a few calls to asus and been called a lair by there customer service i took my pc to repair shop and vary nice women there give me great deal on evga x58 classified and i have never looked back i have allways used evga GPUS evga gt 7600 9800gt akimbo gtx 295 gtx 460 gtx 550 my current GPU is weak but its still evga gt 740 4gb when i build my new rig it will have evga x99 ftw i7 5820k evga gtx 980 evga 1000 g2 PSU Plus EVGA has hands down the best Customer Service ever
I had a Asus motherboard for my last build, and the IO shield gave me nothing but trouble lining it up properly and getting the motherboard to sit properly with it. Like other have said that experience turned me off them and I will pay a little bit extra not to use them.
So anyone know where we can score a Gigabyte gtx 980??
Depends entirely where you live. In the US that stuff is grabbed the instant it goes available. A quick check just showed me that at least here in Germany, a good deal of GTX 980s are available (including the Gigabyte G1 version). So you might want to look outside your borders and look to importing as an alternative if the price fits.
Unless you absolutely have to upgrade right now though, I'd wait. For one because the availability will improve over time and secondly because that stuff will get cheaper, especially if AMD is continuing to press for a market share for the christmas season as they are doing right now.
