I love newegg.
They decided even though I bought my 970 outside the promotion time to give me a code as a curtsey
Which game did you choose?

Still trying to decide. Probably go with far cry.

Nice.
I usually use Amazon, but starting to like some of the promotions and frequent sales the Egg has lately.
Do eeeet!
Looks like the most fun out of the three. Hoping I can wrangle a code out of XoticPC if I buy a laptop after Thanksgiving.
XD
Yeah I watched some trailers and it doesn't look bad at all. I hope you can do so too ![]()

So happy they gave me the code despite me getting the card in october ![]()
Yeah I would've went Amazon but they were sold out of strix when I ordered ![]()
Newegg had 980 G1's for about 2 weeks and I scooped one up. They're out of stock now. ![]()
Amazon still doesn't have them (unless you want to pay $760 from a vendor)
Gotta rock the 'Byte Their cards haven't failed me yet
I think Amazon restocked on 970s. They sent me an email saying it should be here by Friday.
Go Amazon Prime!
Gotta rock the 'Byte Their cards haven't failed me yet
Can only reinforce that. My little GTX 660Ti WindForce 2x OC is running strong for now two years of continued use. And when I'm gaming, I talking hours of nonstop load for that little monster.

Ugh yeah the markups on Amazon are obscene. I mean...really at that point you might as well get a 780 ti. ![]()
Okay, so my system has:
GeForce GTX 460
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor
4.00 GB Ram (4.00 GB usable)
1366 x 768, 60Hz (resolution)
Driver Version 344.60
Windows 7 Ultimate
Does anyone know if this will work with Inquisitions? I plan to buy some new upgrades online during the Black Friday sales, but I just want to know if I can play initially.
I installed my 750 ti today!
I know it's not top-end or anything, but I'm happy with it. Gonna look into maybe buying a better monitor during Black Friday deals. Or asking for one for Christmas or something. Haha.

in this resolution you shouldnt have problems running the game on medium or even high settings.

I have a 750 ti , no complaints from me, anything i've thrown at it has worked like a charm
I'm tempted to buy a new monitor. I'm still on a 22'' with a 1650x1050 resolution.
Problem is, it's still in good shape, had served me well for 6 years and I'm afraid I won't see much difference if I go for a 1080p 24'' monitor.
Not sure if it's worth changing.

Yeah, I'd wait at this point. new G-Sync monitor models are coming out every other month, IPS panels with high refresh rates are on their way, and 21:9 aspect ratio monitors are starting to come down in price. You can pick one up for $400 now a days - and that ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio is just amazing for gaming.
Check again summer 2015 or holiday 2015.
I'm personally waiting for a G-sync 21:9 ultra wide 3560x1440p 3K IPs panel. I'm hopeful they'll be out by this time next year. ![]()
I hope Inquisition is Mantle ready.

They pimped Mantle during their PC gameplay stream (and they had a Twitter/Facebook contest where they gave away an AMD card). So, yes, it's Mantle-ready.

Yeah all hail to the voice of reason!
Adding to that, I don't really want to change my GPU yet (7850 1GB), unless the way DA:I runs really frustrates me (should be ok though on my resolution). I could indulge myself in some new monitor and a new GPU but frankly I prefer to wait a bit more. Everytime I look at models online to change my monitor, it's like my current one is saying to me "Y you no like me anymore?
" and I feel bad because it's still a good display even compared to the shiny new IPS at work.
G-sync sounds nice if you have a 144Hz monitor. Isn't 27'' considered optimal for that use?
Personally, anything bigger than 24'' will be a bit too much for my desktop.
Lots of people who have tried 144Hz don't want to look back though. I will willingly remain blissfully ignorant for the moment.

#1 rule in PC: only buy something if you need it now. you want a higher resolution? buy a FHD or better monitor. you are still happy? keep your current monitor; its that simple.

Well, Amazon's own price is still $629 but were out of stock on them. It was the other sellers listed on there that had them above 700.
And btw, Amazon has both the 980's and 970's in stock now ($629 and $369, respectively)
Run, people, Ruuuuuun!

Wait I thought that was just the reseller? They just list it if they don't have any in stock ![]()
Oooh g1's. I don't think it'd fit in my case though. The strix is like an inch away from my drivebays XD

XD nope I'm happy with my Strix.
The G1s do look very nice though.
