1.7GHz? That's too slow. I recommend you return it and get a at least a better processor.
If you have an AMD card with 2GB VRam you will be able to play DAI at ultra settings. Don't buy a 3GB card it will make absolutely no difference (it will make if you play with 2 monitors, or with the resolution higher thatn 1920x1080p), it's just waste of money. Frostbite 3 engine is designed to run best on AMD cards, if you have NVidia with 2GB just may not be able to play on 60 fps with maximized anti-aliasing, but the difference is minimal
I would wait on benchmarks before stating this as fact. It will make a difference depending on what you're playing on. Unless you're on a tight budget it's smart to get as much VRAM as you can right now on cards. Games have not normalized in their recommended specs and are already eating away at 980s 4GB VRAM. That said, they only have a few cards that can fully utilize 3GBs of VRAM properly.

You'd have to name the processor for anyone to make a guess. Clock speed is irrelevant these days.
You are paying a bit much for that 1tb HD, should be around 50-65. You can also get a cheaper code for win 8.1 with a bit of searching too, might save yourself 50 bucks.
Oooo HAFs are nice, but watch it when you put in those wires. It's pretty easy to accidentally bunch them too much, which will cause that side of the case to wedge shut permanently (without ripping it off the wrong way, that is).

You think this is a motherfucking game!? Seriously, it's so much easier to clean not-to-mention a bit more quiet since most include gaskets for the fan.
Are you going by CAD or USD? I looked around a bit but didn't find much else that was better. Sales change prices per week too though.
The HAF layout should be pretty nice for my setup, I've got it mostly arranged and it seems quite open and clear of case sides. Thanks for the tip tho! I might switch to liquid at a later point, I've no experience with that stuff yet and just wanted to keep it simpler.

One of the lines I was particularly proud to see, "...we switched to the Tactical View by scrolling back on the mouse wheel" . I KNEW there was no special function for it on PC. So many console only players had no idea the mouse wheel dynamic even existed and were just confusing everyone, themselves included, in those early threads.
At least 2 of those screens look to be wallpaper possibilities.

Ah, 3GB VRAM... only 2GB here. Guess it's probably going to be high for me. I meet the rest of the requirements (and am well over them) on recommended at least.

I aimed for a $1500 ish budget for a full new build that I could get right away. Higher was certainly tempting but I also have condo payments to make. CURSE YOU ADULTHOOD
Question. The article mentioned their hands-on content, but I did not see anything on the pc specific menu's, level-up, tactics, abilities and inventory screens. Nor was there any footage of these in the video.
Are there any plans to show these specific screens via stills or footage along with this PC news?
Ive got an AMD A6 5200 and although its a Quad Core, its 2.0 GHZ instead of the minimum of 2.5. Is this going to be a huge problem or will I be able to run the game on low settings with this? I meet the other minimum requirements so its only really this which is a worry

What? A new PC with only a 1.7Ghz cpu sounds, very wrong.. A laptop on the other hand, would be too slow to run anything else than FB games.
Why?I was initially using 30" Dell U3014 but due to many games and movies with 16:9 ratio, i have to go with 27" U2713H now.

I think in the Twitch stream yesterday they said it will be a stream on monday for the PC interface and so on..

I still play some 4:3 games - I display them at 4:3, maintaining their aspect ratio. There are great swaths of black space on the sides of my screen.
Your display ratio doesn't have to match the ratio of the media.
I can't stand black bars. I was really hoping for a 30" 1440p monitor but that didn't happen. How big is your monitor? Trust me. When you game on 30" monitor the immersion sky-rocketed!
I would recommend a Phantek Enthoo Pro or Fractal Define R4/XL if you want to get the best money for your value. Phantek Enthoo Pro is only about 90-100 and it beats almost every case on the market. It's cheap because it's only their second case but they look like Pros against companies who have been doing it for years like Corsair. It has things in it that some PC cases at much higher prices don't even have. It's big though...so you might not want big. Good cable management, removable drive bays, easy cable management, nicely laid out
Heh, I was kinda self-loathingly hoping for absurd cpu requirements to have an excuse to make the x99 leap... But my 2500k will not go quietly into the night. Still chugging along nicely at a mild overclock, think it's at 4.2 GHz right now and not breaking a sweat, 4.6 took too much voltage tweaking. 4 years old and has just eaten up everything I throw at it. Sandy Bridge was so damned good at the time.
