I hope you weren't expecting 30+ on consoles. That was never about to happen with this game.
I guess the "maximized potential" part threw me off.

I took that as a way of saying "We're not Ubisoft."
Woohoo, 1080p, thats the right amount of p's!

Perhaps, I just thinking how BF4 performed on the xbox one (720p @ 60fps). It too utilized the FB3 engine. If I was getting the game on consoles I wouldn't mind lower res for higher fps, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, my guess is that they chose to boost frames rather than resolution for Battlefield since frames per second matter a lot more in twitchy shooters than other types of games.
If anything, I am more interested in what kind of antialiasing DAI will have on PS4. AA is way more important than FPS, IMO.
Really, really smart move on EA and Bioware's part. One of their biggest competition in November is Assassin's Creed Unity (not to mention all the other Ubisoft games being released that month), and with all the negative feedback Ubisoft is getting, saying that the PS4 version of DAI is 1080p is an attempt to draw unhappy Ubisoft customers toward their games. The timing is perfect because contempt with Ubisoft is at a high right now. ![]()
Aaand I won't be able to run it xD Need to save money for a gaming laptop... xD They might sell DA:I cheaper in a year or two when I finally get my hands on it ![]()

I really hope there is adequate AA on both systems, too. AA is crucial.
I have to say, I'm disappointed with the 30fps.

Would you trade 1080p, for 900p or even 720p, for 60fps?
Even normal AA these days is relatively benign. I expect some specter of light FXAA.I really hope there is adequate AA on both systems, too. AA is crucial.

Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I'd agree with you, however I don't beleive we will be disappointed the way it is, when we see it in action.

Probably not much AF (or none at all), however, which can be really unfortunate.
Not surprised at being capped at 30fps.
There will probably be some degree of AF but not a whole lot. AF tends to eat up a lot of bandwidth that's often better off put to use elsewhere.
Im sure i will enjoy it on 360.
As an Xbox One owner I gotta say I'm pretty miffed about this, I guess its because its my most anticipated title for this year and I wanted it to look really good. I'm not saying its going to look terrible but everyone appreciates good visuals on their console of choice...which is the Xbox One (and I have both Xbox One and PS4).

One is a shooter, the other is an open world RPG.... Completely two different games that run on the same engine. Much easier to hit 60fps on shooters and sports games.

Nevar!
I think Bioware seems to beat CDPR now (they seems like going backward). They keep moaning about parity across all platforms and even PC gamers are forced with console UI. Props to Bioware for maximizing the power of each platform.

Really? AF has been basically a free feature for years on PC, much less taxing than AA, yet consoles still don't do it. I don't get it...
Nevar!
My point, some people would be unhappy with this. I'm happy either way as long as the gameplay is solid.

It's not that it's 'easier'; it's more like 60fps is far more important to a shooter than it is to an RPG. BF4 is barely even the same game at sub-60fps.

I'm not bashing by any means, so don't take offense, but Bioware is not the first to do this for the XONE and I doubt they will be the last.

I will also be playing AC:U on my Xbox one as well.
